Isn't that the truth, though? A lot of women equate any sort of attention, even negative, as a form of love. My avatar is from a show called STRANGERS WITH CANDY. In one of the episodes the lead character, Jerri, is paired off with another high school student to be in a pretend marriage for a week as a class assignment. At one point she asks the guy: "You don't want to beat me or screw me? What kind of a marriage is this?"

In real life I knew a woman whose husband continually cheated on her, abused drugs, stole from her, couldn't hold down a job, was an alcoholic, and hit, kicked, and punched her repeatedly...and we asked her one time why she stayed with him. Her answer: "Because I love him."

So, if at this point a person is still posting at CBn or MI6 knowing full well what brutality they are capable of, you are in a co-dependent, dysfunctional relationship and need to get help in order to better your self esteem and be able to get the hell out of there.

Ah, that old bat. I knew him as Net_Geek in the IMDb forums when CR was in the making. Funniest guy ever. Never interacted with him on Olde MI6 though, I think he got banned just when I joined.
