Isn't this ADULT movie Parody of James Bond, a copyright infringement?

I've also seen other Adult movies Parodies on my store shelves:

like This Ain't Star Trek, Avatar, Beverly Hills 90210, Lady Gaga, I Dream Of Jeannie, Hawaii Five-O, Dirty Jobs, Cops, Baywatch, The People's Court, Ghostbusters, Batman, Spiderman, Superman, Glee, Saved By The Bell, etc etc

They even use the same logo and like in the case of the Spiderman parody, the exact same Spiderman costume.

Wouldn't using the name James Bond or Batman or Superman, etc etc in an Adult film or any other film make it copyright infringement?

Aren't those names trademarked?



Also, to use the James Bond music in the trailer and the film?

Isn't that also copyrighted?

Don't they have to ask EON or someone permission first?

If I was EON or the copyright holder of the Bond music, I would had said "NO"; you can use it in anything but not in an Adult film!

Copyright law *seems* to have broadened over the past few years, but I could be wrong.

GOLDEN ASS, as far as parodies go, looks kind of lame. The thing about a good parody is that the timing needs to be right. This spoof would have been more interesting maybe, like, 15 years ago or something.

And it looks like they're trying to mimic Daniel Craig a little bit. I'm afraid to ask what happens to "007" in the scene where he has been tied up.

The movie, for all I know, could be better than what Barbara Broccoli has been giving us lately. At the very least GOLDEN ASS probably has a better script and more plot than QUANTURD OF SOLACE.

Write them a strongly worded letter, j7. Offer them your services for any future Bond themed productions.
