That's the problem. You'll be hard pressed to find any politics, religion (or spirituality) or social commentary in his films...not giving a damn about addressing the real world.

This is why I think he'll be ideal for Bond - Bond isn't not about providing social/political/spiritual commentary on the world. Tarantino can write some good f*cking dialogue and shoot some pretty interesting shots.

There's a lot more to Bond than that.

Ghost Rider: The Spirit of Vengeance

Cage returns as Johnny Blaze. Other notables: Ciaran Hinds as "the devil" and Christopher Lambert.Quite watchable but also quite awful. Looks good in bright colour. Happy not to have paid cinema money to see it. Rate/Review new 2012 film releases - Page 2 1997705048

Obviously. But you think drama directors shouldn't helm a Bond film because they'll use it to make a statement on the world/society we live in. Tarantino wouldn't do that.

Total Recall: Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel Rate/Review new 2012 film releases - Page 2 1547689115

An awful remake. Brutal. Even two of the best looking female leads in big budget cinema can't save this turkey. The Biel character is almost pointless.

The Bourne Legacy: Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton Rate/Review new 2012 film releases - Page 2 1547689115

Another turkey. 3rd in a row for this franchise IMO Less said the better.

To Rome With Love: Woody Allen, Alec Baldwin, Ellen Page, Penelope Cruz, Jesse Eisenberg. Rate/Review new 2012 film releases - Page 2 1846132249

Allen is back in front of the camera but he's not hogging it. He's rather part of a large ensemble cast, who are probably all thrilled to be in a Woody Allen film, especially in the wake of the home run he hit with Midnight In Paris. Not one of Allen's more memorable efforts but still a good little time waster. A quirky, sometimes farcical series of comedic vignettes set in modern Rome. Much of the film is subtitled, which adds a touch of Italian authenticity.

Nothing beats well produced, big budget comic book fare.
