| 12 oz bottle of Dewar's.
Best $15 I've spent all week. |

| Dewar's is okay, but Lagavulin takes you there.
I'd say it gives you wings, but that sounds like a panty towel. |

| Last night ... pints of Staropramen, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Hoegaarden and a local ale called Bee's Endeavour. |

| How'd that treat you, Blunt? Sam Adams is pretty good.
I woke up feeling like I was hit by a bus last night. Managed to sit through another viewing of SKYFALL, though. |

I woke up feeling like I was hit by a bus last night. Managed to sit through another viewing of SKYFALL, though. Not so bad ... it was 2 of the Sam Adams and 1 each of the others spread out over roughly 4 hours, so wasn't suffering yesterday. |

| With Kraken rum?
Not a bad rum for mixing. Not good for drinking straight up, though. |

| I've been drinking a bizarre mixture of cocoa and ale all evening. Better than it sounds. |

| If it's booze, I typically go in for Macallan 12-year or Suntory Hibiki 12-year. Otherwise, it's a red wine (usually a Pinot Noir or Sangiovese) or a sparkling wine, depending on whichever label I have on my shelf at the time. |

They've come a long way. Still, they've yet to make serious inroads into the American market. Finding the Japanese whiskys in my local liquor stores is hard. I've often had to go out of state to pick them up. |

| Hard day at work today with a lot of understandably upset colleagues.
My solution: Fuller's 1845 6.3% followed by a visit to my local micro, which has just taken delivery of some Hibiki. |

| Pub lunch with an old buddy today, accompanied by a couple of pints of Erdinger. Been FOREVER since I had beer on a workday lunchtime and then had to go back and put the afternoon in ... wasn't just as much of a drag as I thought it'd be. |

| Over the Christmas holiday, I'll be enjoying Fox Run Vineyard's Fine Old Tawny Port, which is a perfect dessert drink.
On Christmas day, I'll pop the cork on a cheap-but-good bottle of sparkling wine, Coppola's Sofia Blanc du Blanc (which is a head above the other sparkling wines in the $15 price range). |

| 'Beastly cold' isn't a phrase I would associate with your new avvy, but 'full cream' certainly is . |

| Got saddled with Guinness, Jack Daniels and some white wine. No idea, it was like one of my old uni nights. And the fact I ended up watching Adam West's Batman is merely coincidental. |

| Ha, bless you Blunty.
I think a typical showing was the day Pompey won the cup. No Adam West that time :) |
