What do/don't you want to see in the SKYFALL teaser trailer?

For me:

- No trust bollocks
- Good humour
- A surreal non-"realistic" atmosphere (i.e POINT BLANK or BLADE RUNNER)
- No opening opening narration by Judi friggin Dench
- No portentous "trailer dialogue"
- Decent reworking of the Bond theme
- Komodo dragon
- Tits

Judi Dench will likely narrate, sadly.

What do I wanna see? Just some good shots by Deakins. Humor. Action. Tits.

Going by the last few trailers for the Bond films, you'll be disappointed on a lot of those points, Sharky.

In my dreams, what we'd get rather than a montage of moments from the film is a brief, contained scene from the film that gives Bond a sufficiently bad-ass moment.

No shitty CGI.

No Judi Dench narration is numero uno.

Just make the trailer fun. Action, girls, a quip or two and a Bond that looks like he actually has some fun once in a while. Nobody watches James Bond movies to hear some bullshit about trust or a dour sourpuss going *mumble* I will have my vengeance in this life or the next *mumble*.

If the "back from retirement" aspect is true, this is how I'd like to see it.

Bond is in bed with a Chinese lovely, causing her to say "oh James". Bond's mobile phone rings, he answers and on the other line is Moneypenny. "James where are you? M's been trying to track you down. What are you doing?" Bond answers "Enjoying myself a Chinese delicacy."

Given that EON and Mendes appear to have gone to much greater lengths than usual to keep things under wraps, I'm willing to bet we'll get an actual teaser - like the one for THE DARK KNIGHT, with the Bat symbol crumbling apart while Bats and Alfred discuss the Joker. I'd be very happy with something similar.. It's meant to be a teaser trailer, so I want something that teases.

Yeah, they really do need to start using a new Bond theme for the trailers. Seems like they've used the same fucking theme in every Bond-related ad since CASINO ROYALE.

I imagine they'll be marketing this as another "gritty" Bond flick, however, despite Mendes and Co. wanting to lighten things up a bit.

The least they could do is show a little bit of Berenice Marlohe.

Really? I thought she was the main Bond girl.

That's probably because The Daily Fail has been talking up Harris as Moneypenny, and the implication is that this would naturally be a small role. And given that they don't like black people, the Fail will probably do or say anything to downplay the role of an actor who comes from a racial background they don't like.

I assumed Berenice was the main girl after the press conference but yeah it's starting to look like it's actually Naome.

Precisely. I expect the teaser, and then the main trailer, to be heavy-handed, with lots of trust issues being brought up, and Dench being given an inordinate amount of voice-over time. I love Dench. She's my favorite M. But Barbara has taken one of the best things about the series of late and run it into the ground. M is now becoming tedious.

If we go by how EON released teaser trailers it's most likely late Spring. However, since they started filming in Nov instead of Jan, maybe a little earlier.

I think she is the main Bond girl. She got top billing at the big opening news conference. I'd say she's the lead.

Then again......but it did seem very much like she was the lead at the opening newser. Harris is getting more coverage now, as she is doing action scenes. Marlohe may not be as visible in the on location shooting.

I think you might be right, except that I don't like Dench as M. Lee is my favourite M, followed by Brown.

Would be nice though, if the teaser was more like how CJB hopes it might be. Exciting, fun, dangerous, glamorous, with some great Bond-dialogue teasers.
