Request for a certain genre of film

Which films have the best graphic representations of these themes:-

- execution by guillotine
- medieval beheading by axe or sword
- other medieval torture
- witch burning

The recent Tudors series did some of the above fairly okay.

Black Death showed Sean Bean being pulled apart by four horses I think...there was also another medieval based film which featured Sean being hung from a castle wall or something and left to rot...but I forgot the name.
