Ah, the joys of gaining self-awareness in the mid-90s.

Mostly all British bands on the American Hot 100 charts in the 1980s...Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, The Police, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Madness, Dead or Alive, The Human League, The Cure, Level 42, Thompson Twins, Tears For Fears, Bronski Beat, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, New Order. A-ha and Alphaville weren't British but scored points for their Duran Duran likeness....

Yep, there's home-made video of me dancing to The Reflex when I was...well less than 4 ft tall..

Never quite fancied Culture Club or Wham...but if I had to pick a choice from each one, I'd go with Time (Clock of the Heart) and Careless Whisper...which was basically George Michael by himself.

Much of what Dog said, but with Bowie, U2, Roxy and The Smiths thrown in.
