It's pretty much inevitable at this point. However, the boring-ness of the song will be down to the composition and arrangement. Take Scott Walker's 'Only Myself to Blame' from TWINE for example. A great singer/songwriter wasted on a dull-as-dishwater song, written and arranged by David Arnold.

Can't say she's boring...but she is chart-gold and would guarantee the song and accompanying video both get heavy airplay...which is what a 50th Anniversary Bond film needs in its promotional machinery. On youtube alone, the video can get up to 10 million hits in less than one week.

I don't think Adele is boring. A boring choice for the title song maybe, just because it makes too much sense, but in terms of chart-topping music in this day and age, she is far from boring. I'd much rather listen to Adele than LMFAO.

I'd actually love LMFAO to perform the theme song for SkyFall, not only to see the uproar it would cause among fans, but honestly just to hear something different to a Bond song. As it stands, the probability of Adele brings no excitement or curiosity in the slightest, and the unveiling of her song would thus be as rote and worthless as the SkyFall press conference, merely a moot presentation of what everyone expected: a by the numbers Bassey/Barry knock-off with all the predictable trumpets in all the predictable places. So yes, I'd even take LMFAO shouting "EVERYDAY I'M SKYFALLIN'!!" over a generic dumbass dance beat while dressed in leopardprint mankinis than witness the excruciatingly dull and pointless alternative.

I don't mind Adele, but if it be a cover up and we get Shirley Bassey with a new made song i think it be good too. Adele for the title song and Bassey's No Good About Good By for the end credits be nice too.

If Adele going to do it, mabey she going to be over the red carped in The Netherlands with Bardem, Fienes or Harris. She is very famous in my country and visit it couple of times.

A woman doing the song again with the title Skyfall is a need. It should somebody who can scream SKYFALL. See Goldeneye or The World Is Not Enough.

That's a bold take on the theme. Under two minutes and already he has blown away David Arnold's entire tenure.

If Newman's Bond theme has been leaked (it appears to have been taken down), then I doubt it's the actual theme, but instead someone trying to get YouTuve hits.
