I hope you take to Jerry better than FourDot did a while back. Desperate to see Artists and Models myself.

The Poseidon Adventure: Hell Upside Down 2-disc

been after the special edition for a while and got it for £2. A nifty little special feature on the film is this interactive feature using the schematics of the ship to show you were the survivors are and how many are left.

F***IN' a. That's a great buy. I forget, have you seen the flick?

Forgot to mention on Mother's Day I bought the first season of MAD MEN on DVD. I plan to watch it all with my mother whenever the timing works out.

I still have to save up for the TV and Blu player.

Have you seen the show yet? I forget.

Nope. Just seen bits and pieces of it on TV. I think you've shown me that link too.

Ah, I was just saying about saving up. I skipped over that other part and read about MAD MEN.

I've seen maybe the first half hour of PATHS.

I'm disappointed THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER isn't on sale.

But ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST is 15 bucks. May get it. BBARRY LYNDON has a nice price. 2001 is 9.99, and it's 25 at Best Buy!

The Cowboys
Fort Apache
Rio Bravo

I take it these are the TCM classic 4 packs?

I'm ashamed to say I bought 3 of them earlier this week.

I always seem to have at least two of the titles already. laugh I do own the Hitchcock one with SUSPICION, STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, I CONFESS, and THE WRONG MAN. Though I also have the two-disc of STRANGERS.

Yep, right on the money. They're not half bad, so long as your OK with not getting much in the way of special features.

Another purchase to catch up with the movies I didn't get round to seeing last year. Not overly excited about this one, but hey, it's Ridley Scott.

12 Rounds 'Extended Harder Cut' , £3 in Sainsburys. Looked like it might be a bit of reasonable action nonsense, and hey ... even if it's awful, what's £3?

I'm considering buying some Randolph Scott movies. I have two options, both costing about 40 dollars:

1 - buy the Boetticher boxset that features:
THE TALL T
DECISION AT SUNDOWN
BUCHANAN RIDES ALONE
RIDE LONESOME
COMANCHE STATION

2 - go to Amazon and buy two 3-packs that feature:
COLT .45
TALL MAN RIDING
FORT WORTH
THE MAN BEHIND THE GUN
THUNDER OVER THE PLAINS
RIDING SHOTGUN

as well as purchasing SHOOT-OUT AT MEDICINE BEND off scootermovies. The slightly goofy name, plus the slightly goofy reputation, plus the presence of Garner and Dickinson, has me interested.

As said, both will cost me 40 dollars, and chances are I'll buy both in the next couple of weeks, as well as THE WALKING HILLS because its got Arthur Kennedy, but any suggestion as to which goes first?

Found an ebay seller who sells Warner archive DVDs for 15-20 bucks, including postage. But I'll try and make that wait for next week's pay... in the meantime - couldnt pass up:

That 50s films book just keeps throwing up those films you'd never hear of in probably more cultured circles. Plus, its got Dorothy Malone. 8)

And since its Liberace, I'm sure it's going to be fab-u-lous. ;)

"I couldn't believe Liberace was gay - I mean women loved him! Didn't see that one coming..."

Just got my blu-ray 3 disc copy of Ironman 2. Finally got it for under $20.00 from an Amazon re-seller. Its loaded with extras. A whole disc full of them plus I understand 7 Easter Eggs, which are easy to find with a Google search.
Should waste lots of time pouring over all this material. There are lots of links in the easter eggs pertaining to Incredible Hulk and Thor and Capt America too. The events of all these movies are going on at roughly the same time.

Spotted at a flea market and decided to buy it off. Although I had planned only to get Superman 4-disc and Superman II 3-disc releases, straight when I saw this my perfectionist button was on and I was like: "Ah, f*ck it, it's not like Armageddon or anything if I get III and IV as well".

I've been meaning to get that set as I don't own any of the Supes films, and I haven't seen the Donner Cut of Part II yet. Does the first film plus 3 and 4 come with any extras or are they vanilla discs?

They come as one disc "Deluxe" Editions and they do have extras: III has a commentary, Making Of document and deleted scenes, IV has a commentary and deleted scenes. Yeah, I know, it's ironic that the amount of extras has gone down as the series has gone crappier. laugh
