One might argue that ALL of Supes 4 might've been better ending up as 'deleted scenes' ... laugh .

Like that cover . ^ I got the deluxe dvd version that came out last year. Awesome film. Like a Bond film, you can pop it in and watch it again and again.

I want BARRY LYNDON as well. That I WILL buy. I'll probably hold off on Bond and decide later.

I'm sold on the Bond blu-rays after having Netflixed them, they're perfect. But I'm holding out on them and will likely start getting them when Bond 23 gets me all hyped next year. I'll only get the Connery entries and OHMSS, maybe Dalton too.

That's my plan. Connery's, OHMSS, Daltons. Maybe Craigs. I want to netflix MR, to see the effects.

I've been meaning to get that set as I don't own any of the Supes films, and I haven't seen the Donner Cut of Part II yet.

If you're a big fan of the first film, I highly recommend SII:TDC. After seeing it, I consider it the the true version of SII and the only version I've watched. I've had no desire to rewatch the Lester cut after seeing it as it should've been made.

Yep, as it has the 3-disc version of Supes II from 2006.

I like watching the theatrical cut because it's more complete. THE DONNER CUT feels like a string of deleted scenes. It doesn't feel like an actual movie to me. I'd love to see a hybrid version.

And I just enjoy SUPERMAN II as goofy fun. But I'm the guy who actually enjoys SUPERMAN III the most. Even though I freely admit it's not great.

Although I don't really hate Lester's Superman II, I still think it's little bit too much on slapstick and jokes, especially I don't like the fact that Non is turned into a comedic sidekick, although he's still badass nonetheless. Superman III, however, I loathe. It's Salkinds' perfect dream that does zero justice to the character. But at least it's not like Superman IV, that's the Holy Grail of loathe.

I love Target and their 8 dollars for everything movie sales. They often have no idea about how good some of the versions of films they're selling are.

Same with Big W - hence why I got THE WILD ONE for just 6 dollars today. Then at chaddy, in those discount bins which also sell good movies, I got IN WHICH WE SERVE and LONELY ARE THE BRAVE (at last!).

And FM - if you dont like THE PUBLIC ENEMY, I will smash you with a table. ;)

Is that the David Suchet series? If so, are they feature-length? I was an avid follower of the old, hour-long series.

Does that mean if he doesn't like Psycho, you'll kill him in the shower while dressed in drag? ;)

Given the difference between my inital phrase and the way it happens in the film, its more likely he'll be in drag when I kill him, Or I'll emerge from the shower and get him. ;)

Yup, it is the David Suchet series. I've also seen Death On The Nile, Five Little Pigs and After The Funeral, which were all feature length. These ones are both around 2 hours too :)

And Colly, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. After all, it's not like it's going to be cheap, pointless CG rubbish. :)

I broke my attempted embargo on buying DVDs off the internet for a very cheap Warner Archive copy of SOLDIER IN THE RAIN.

I'm not a big Eastwood fan, but I do have an interest (as opposed to an enthusiasm) in Rugby Union.

I see Gambit is being re-made or re-envisioned with Cameron Diaz and Colin Firth, with a Coen brothers screenplay.
