| While this forum has been around for nearly two years it was one year ago when the rebirth of this forum occurred with many disgruntled MI6 and CB.n members migrating in to get away from the madness of the other forums. The purpose of this thread is for members to reflect on how things have been since then in this forum. Has it gotten any better, maybe worse? What improvements have been made and has there also been the opposite?
Overall while the place isn't booming like the two popular forums mentioned above, I think what makes up for that is character and quality of the posts by members. It carries on the spirit of the old Kicking the British End Up but without all the bullshit it started to carry in its final days. There's no better forum I can think of that has as many unique individuals as Bond and Beyond. What's also refreshing is that opinions are all welcomed. Sure, we may strangle eachother over them and call eachother names ("you're a SONY/EON employee!!!") but unlike other sites you don't have the mods to step in and shut off the unpopular opinion to make everyone or just one happy. Plus I like to think for the most part it's all in good nature.
Anyway, glad to be a part of this forum and will stick around as long as interesting members do as well. That's ultimately why I left MI6. |

| The freedom is really what makes this place great. I lament the loss of KTBEU and its countless golden posts and threads (I really want to read that fanfic about Bond fucking Bibi Dahl and her mum) but this place is an improvement in some respects, particularly the fact that we don't have a gestapo shutting down fun conversations, banning naughty words, and locking threads with gay abandon (if this was the old forum, I'd get banned for saying "gay.")
Swiftly leaving that vile creation of the Page regime, Painfacebook, is certainly something I don't regret. We've got a great community of posters here, posters who are generally of a higher quality than the dull little children they've resorted to recruiting over in Soviet Pagestan. I have high hopes this place can continue to flourish well into the future.

| I can't really say much. I was only at KTBEU for about a month, and I rarely posted. I'm not much of an active poster here either, but looking at the forum from the time I signed up, till now, I'd say it's definitely gotten better. I've been by MI6 a few times, and that place is just outright dull. Nothing looks fun or appealing there, and the fact they have more members doesn't mean shit. Quality over quantity. |

| This is certainly a good place. M has done a very nice job with the design/layout, and the posters are of almost uniform high quality. I do think we need a steady infusion of good new posters and I regret they haven't appeared with any great frequency, but other than that I'm very pleased with BaB. Let us hope SF proves to be a bit of Bond we can all like if not love. |

| For an anniversary gift, everyone gets a pack of smokes, a bottle of cheap gin, and tits to grab onto (unless you have your own).
Courtesy of M, of course. |

| The huge influx of new members from around September onwards was thanks to me sending out mass invites on Cb.n. Just copying and pasting the same generic message (you're an invaluable member, would be great to see on BAB, join us or die etc.). Only about 35% actually signed up and even less have stayed aboard.
That said, this place is self-sustaining. I'd rather have 50 odd active members than 605456 registrees who join but never post, or if they do it's to flog Viagra.
Long live B&B and all who sail on her. |

| Don't feel like a year. Though the loss of KTBEU has seemingly seen the loss of fellow writers 007Calbrit and old Bong this here place is better than nothing. I've never had an account at the CBn and haven't been back to new look MI6 since my resignation effective forthwith.
Many more years hopefully. |

| Much less uptight community here. Probably a better board than the old KTBEU, even if we don't have the backlog of classic threads. Here's wishing the board well for the future. |

Courtesy of M, of course. Well, shit. I'm down for that. Coming here was great. It reminds me of the days when I first went on the old forums in 03'/04'. A lot of good content and people. Definitely glad the old site went to hell. I was kind of losing interest in MI6. Kind of scary to think I've been on these message boards for almost 9 years. Shit, I feel old. :( |

| Much more levity and freedom of expression allowed around here, within reason. And although there is the odd skirmish, it doesn't seem to be bruising. Besides, with only a fraction of the 200 odd members posting, I'm hoping some new blood comes in to keep the pace going....it's not fun logging on and only finding responses in threads I don't really participate in.....
Thanks for the outlet...if I only have time for one Bond forum I prefer this one....

FWIW, this is what happens when everybody, more or less, shares a common worldview, or Bondview as the case may be. |
