And although I do acknowledge that Mr. Monkeys has had some verbal swordplay with other members, I'm not sure we want to ban anyone just yet, he does actually contribute in the Bond forums (even if his approach is somewhat militant)...

I can understand the "foe" option ignoring posts, not sure what "friend" accomplishes other than laying out a list of people you like.

I think the difference between J7Wild and Prisoner Monkeys is that JWild irritates people by merely being here, whereas Prisoner Monkey's has taken some very personal, direct shots at other posters. Offhand I don't recall J7Wild being that direct with others, but I could be wrong.

I don't know if this is an insult or a compliment for JWild, but I don't take him seriously, which is why he's less irritating to me. JWild annoys me no more than a pesky fly at a picnic would. I've actually thought that JWild was a teenager, so was surprised to hear him say he was in his 40's with a couple of kids. 'Monkey's, on the other hand, is capable of an intelligent, coherent post, but chooses to attack people, so now that I know how to use my Friends and Foes list, he's a 'Foe' and hopefully I won't see his posts anymore unless quoted.

Personally, I like J7Wild the same way a cat finds amusement with a mouse. I'd hate for him to be banned, but I also haven't seen all the posts he's made that are allegedly "racist", so I don't have all the facts. My only hope is that, whatever happens with people on the board, that they don't get banished simply because people disagreed with their opinions, their opinions were too strong, etc...I hope it's strictly based on violating content policy.

Try a simple test...add me to foes and see if it blocks the ass.

Just tried the "foe" option. Pretty convenient, I always knew of the "foe" button but never bothered looking up its capability. No use for me though, I can just ignore posts by skipping over them, been doing that for years.

Too bad Ambler can't have it his way with us policemen.
