Just those little things that always stick out to you.
I have a few from CASINO ROYALE.
-I don't like that Bond doesn't know how to dress for a casino. I'm talking about the dinner jackets thing. Yeah, I get that it's supposed to put Bond and Vesper on the same level, and I even like the "sized you up" line, but I don't like that Bond apparently doesn't know how to dress. What is he, just some schmo now?
-Bond is the worst tail man in the history of the universe. Where did this guy go to spy school? I know a guy who has a job detecting shoplifters in stores, and he's great at blending in, but Bond, who knows not to touch his earpiece, stands five feet away from the person he's tailing and stares intensely at them.

First off the head, product placement but I guess I'm thinking more of CR/QOS and that "Omega" line.
And it's not a little thing.

Shitty, shitty, lines in films that are supposed to be classics for years to come.

Considering he had a fairly monied and fancy shmancy upbringing and education, you'd think he'd be less of a philistine.
But oh well, welcome to nuBond. :|

I think that might be the second-worst cry face in the history of cinema.
The worst being PAINFACE!, but you already knew that.

Any schmo can be Bond, provided with the right accessories. Pay close attention to the products Bond uses in Casino Royale and you'll be well on your way.

Come on. Do you really expect a 40-year-old bon vivant to know how to dress?
You guys don't understand how Flemingesque this scene is. Bond is a blunt instrument, who thinks of nothing but his next target. When he falls in love with Vesper, she shows him the finer side of life. She gives James his first tuxedo, and that's why he always wears tuxedos after that. She completely changed his life. But when Vesper dies, Bond becomes a hitman again. It makes me cry every time.

Sometimes wounding in the Bond films draws blood, and sometimes it doesn't ... even within the same film sometimes.
Make your damn minds up!

Speaking of tailing someone.
In movies and TV cops drama like Law and Order or NCIS or CSI, etc, the cops are doing surveillance on someone.
They either always park a few feet down the street and across from the suspect's residence/place of business or sometime even closer.
I am sorry but if I was to come out of my house and store and see a car, your standard LEO car, big boxy looking thing with antennas sticking out from the roof and the trunk, parked a few feet down the street;
Even I can figure out they are watching me.

I'm most annoyed by unnecessary silliness that lowers the films--albeit briefly--to childish fare. I'm thinking particularly about California Girls (AVTAK), Tarzan Yell (OP), and Slide Whistle (Gun). Why, why, why? Inexplicably bad judgment by somebody.

Those three instances halt otherwise serious, tense, dramatic moments dead. Trying to figure what's the worst...in some ways Golden Gun for ruining the Barry soundtrack and a good stunt but the California Girls for similar reasons. The Tarzan Yell married with the "Hiss off".

I never got the impression that Bond didn't know how to dress ("you assume human beings actually dress that way, but you wear it with such disdain...", or that he'd never worn a tuxedo before. Before snarling about the new togs being tailored, he did say "I have a dinner jacket."
Clearly he liked the new one better, so Vesper contributed to his style, but it wasn't quite a 'so that's where Indy got his whip/hat/scar/fear of snakes/entire style' moment. I got more a sense of that when he won Dmitrios' Aston Martin.
Have you ever seen Goldeneye: The Secret Life of Ian Fleming? It was full of 'so that's where Fleming got the idea' moments, however the sequences all involve film iconography, not literary (white persian cat, tossing a hat onto a stand, etc.).
I guess the moment that bothers me the most is, after seeing Bond complete his character arc in CR, we have to watch him backtrack and start his healing process all over again in QoS.

Yes, indeed. Frankly I like Tiff's idea of erasing QOS from the Bond canon. It's an unnecessary epilogue to CR moreso than a standalone slice of the series. Nothing will be lost as SF will (hopefully) have the more confident "traditional" Bond that the follow up to CR deserved. Bond didn't need to go find his quadrant of solstice or whatever in Fleming's LALD after all.

Roger Moore's hair in FYEO through AVTAK. That awful attempt to comb-over his bald spot.

During the ski/motorbike chase in FYEO, I find myself thinking that the headlights that revolve around to become guns on the bikes don't have anywhere near enough room in them to store the amount of rounds that get fired at Bond, and (as far as I can recall) there's no sign of a 'feeder' magazine.

Revolving headlights - is that what they were? They looked like pen-pots to me.
That sequence always gets me too. I always felt they should have used snowmobiles instead of motorcycles (except that a skidoo wouldn't have made it over the barn). Why should Die Hard 2 be the first film to feature a snowmobile chase?

I've always hated that hair. Who thought that was a good idea to put on his head? It instantly ages Moore and looks awful. From MR to FYEO looks like it's been a much longer period than just two years.

During the four years between YOLT and DAF, Seanery aged a dozen years, IMO.
