| I admit I haven't seen all of them yet, just saw one from Goldeneye, with a bunch of barking dogs from the pre-credits....
Didn't too fancy the flying carpet scene from Daylights but the extended pre-title to TWINE was fun to watch...
What else is good? And why the fuck was it deleted to begin with? |

| AVTAK: After the Paris chase, M springs Bond from a French jail. The desk captain hands over Bond's personal belongings and hilarity ensues (it's actually quite a clever little vignette, part of which would later be incorporated into LTK, but ulitmately it served no purpose in AVTAK's narrative).
DAF: After Plenty says, "Say, why don't we go have a drink?" We catch up wth her and Bond poolside somewhere watching a mermaid on a swan-shaped float playing a harp, while Bond rejects the inferior red they've just been served. The scene is slow and pointless, and like the scenes from GE, looks awful as the film stock was not restored.
Also from GE: Zukovsky kicking an inept Pakistani arms dealer out of his club before grumbling about the free-market economy.
LTK: Bond in a hotel room somewhere, watching Sanchez on TV gloating about being back home in Isthmus. The clever bit from the AVTAK out-take is used here too.
Plus, if you ever thought that Roger Moore should have bowed out after FYEO, then James Brolin's screen-test for OP will have you thinking again.

John Glen is one of the most boring people I have ever listened to. |

I liked that scene as well. I wish that they had left it in as it gave the Sanchez character a sense of immortality, in that even though he had done all of these terrible things, there was still little, if anything that could be done to stop him. I think we all knew that to be the case anyway, with how he's able to bribe his way out of DEA custody in the beginning of the film, but that scene would have reinforced it from the other direction, showing the support he has back in his home country. |

| DAF: Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd eliminate Shady Tree. It's a shame they didn't include this, I've always thought it was necessary to see how Tree was killed, and it gives us more insight into Wint and Kidd's comical-based murder.
FYEO: There are only two, and both of them have the utmost reason to have been deleted. If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick the one where Bond dumps all the snow onto the three hockey goons.
AVTAK: I really like the scene where Bond, Chuck Lee, and Mr. O'Rourke ride in a boat out to Zorin's oil pumping station, and Scarpine has to turn them away. I thought it was pretty necessary to the overall shadiness of Zorin's business and gave the character O'Rourke more screentime as a sort of ally.
TLD: If I recall correctly, there were only two, the magic carpet ride and an extra little snippet of gadgetry in Q's lab. Because the latter half has some decent action including a fellow MI6 agent taking out a police officer, I choose the magic carpet ride.
LTK: Definitely the scene where Bond watches Sanchez and company on TV in his hotel room. I love the part where he looks down at the lighter Felix gave him and Della's garter, and then looks back at Sanchez. That speaks volumes for the rest of the movie.
GE: Zukovsky threatening the Pakistani gun salesman. I thought it was a good humorous scene and gave extra insight into Zukovsky's character.
TND: A collection of two deleted scenes which showcase Henry Gupta's originally scripted gimmick of throwing cards at a deadly speed. The first where Stamper interrupts his practice of this in his office, and the second when he tries to throw a card at Bond but it hits a guard that Bond is holding hostage instead.
TWINE: Definitely the scene where the Cigar Girl informs Renard about 007's fight in Lachaise's office, where it is revealed that Renard was the sniper who saved Bond's life by shooting one of Lachaise's thugs.
DAD: Never have seen this one, but I've always wanted to see the scene where Bond avoids security at Heathrow airport by sneaking out of the plane through the landing gear.
EDIT
CR: It seems I've forgotten about Casino Royale! I'd choose the extended PTS where Bond watches the cricket game and chases Fisher into the bathroom. I love that look where Dan enters and sees Fisher on the stairs. That could have been a classic!

| I was watching the teaster trailer earlier for TMWTGG, and I noticed a particularly interesting deleted scene within the trailer. It shows Bond and Scaramanga hiding behind rocks on Scaramanga's island during their climatic duel. Bond yells out to his hiding opponent, "Now I know how you do it, Scaramanga!" He replies with, "The secret to success, Mr. Bond, is to-" and I didn't catch the last part due to the unclear audio. After this, Bond throws a Molotov cocktail into the air, and either he or Scaramanga shoots it, and it explodes, creating a huge fireball. It's pretty neat, and worth a look. |

| OHMSS - Bond at the College of Arms discovering that Sir Hilary Bray's office is bugged, and that Phidian is actually listening in. There's then a roof top chase across London culminating in Phidian dying in the underground.
Never seen it (obviously!) but there are screen shots in Helfenstein "making of book" so it was obviously filmed (except the underground scene apparently). Wouldn't it be great to see it in the new Blu Ray extras?... |

| All of the following may not be full blown deleted scenes, but might be some deleted shots and dialogue takes that I've discovered while watching the various teaser trailers for the Bond movies:
TB- a deleted line of dialogue where Bond says, "The things I do for England" as Fiona Volpe takes off his shirt in the bathroom; deleted yells and screams as the SPECTRE and US Navy frogmen get killed underwater
DAF- A shot of Blofeld's oil rig control room blowing up with Professor Dr. Metz inside and falling over in the blast, which looks to suggest that he might have died during the destruction; another take on the death of the guard who Bond impales with the surgical knives; another take on Blofeld's line of dialogue, "Making mud pies, 007?"; an extra shot of Bond watching Marie before he walks down the stairs and introduces himself in the PTS
LALD- alternate take on Mr. Big's line of dialogue "Names is for tombstones, baby! Ya'll take this honky out and waste him, now!"; a an extra second of impact when Bond kicks Whisper into the shipping container; an alternate take on a thug's line, "Trouble!" when he spots Bond and Solitaire on the loose
TMWTGG- a deleted scene I mentioned above with extra dialogue from Bond and Scaramanga during their duel and Bond throwing and shooting a Molotov cocktail to create a wall of fire between him and Scaramanga
TSWLM- Extra shots of Stromberg's thugs getting killed during the Liparus battle; a shot of an explosion behind Bond and Commander Carter as they take cover behind an over-turned vehicle; extra gunfire and fighting during the raid on the control room of the Liparus; an alternate take on Feliccia's scream "NO!" before Sandor shoots her
MR- a deleted shot of Jaws reacting disapprovingly when Bond punches him aboard Drax's space station
OP- an extra second when Kamal Khan attempts to shoot 007 with his hunting rifle, which shows the full shot and then shows him lowering the rifle; a deleted shot of the missile control man pressing the firing button for the missle which trails 007's Acrostar jet in the pre-title sequence; a few deleted seconds during Bond and Magda's love-making, including the line, "What I do for England!"
AVTAK- a shot of Bond shaking his head disapprovingly and thrusting his PPK back into his shoulder holster when he fails to kill shoot May Day on the Eiffle Tower; a few deleted seconds where May Day punches Bond after he tells Stacey to keep climbing during the flooded mine climax; a deleted line of dialogue where Bond tells Pola Ivanova in the hot tub that he is, "Bond...James Bond" (this had to have been deleted because Pola Ivanova already said she knew who Bond was earlier)
TLD- Different take on Linda's voice during all her lines in the PTS (the lady on the yacht who Bond drops in on); a longer take on Dalton's "Bond...James Bond" line during the PTS |

| I say Bond watching Sanchez on TV, and Bond being rushed to the hospital after Le Chiffre's torture. Both scenes would have added immensely to their respective films.
I also like this little bit from GE, just because Izabella Scorupco looks so good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbG7MdEbTLg&t=4m40s
In a similar vein, another shot that should have been kept is this nice one of the Aston's arse end in TLD: https://i.servimg.com/u/f41/16/31/59/50/memory10.jpg
And this scene should have stayed in TWINE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=niZMZnPiLwI&t=10m27s If only because deleting it pretty much deleted Elektra's character motivation. Apart from that, the scene looks and sounds like some sort of touchingly scripted "explore your roots" genealogy special. |
