Sean Connery refuses to promote James Bond box set

Sir Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan have agreed to promote the release of a new Blu-ray DVD set, but Connery is refusing. He believes he was cheated out of millions by 007 movie executives, sources said.

Anyone else thinks he was cheated out of millions? Where was his high-profile court case?

Personally, when I see his grumpy old ass on tv these days, I just change channel.

I assumed he was on good terms with the Bond team after doing that FRWL game. Fuck knows what's going on. Looks to me as if he's kicking up a fuss just for the sake of it. Still, you gotta love the man.

Did he get paid the same amount in the first five films or something?

It's not very newsworthy to put 'Sean considers himself retired and is enjoying life away from the spotlight' that's why the official response can seemingly be completely ignored and instead the anonymous and vague 'source close to Sean' saying something contentious' becomes so much more headline worthy.

I say let that legendary old Shcot enjoy his retirement. He probably thinks Blu Ray is some kind of hippie drug.

Perhaps I'm alone here, but I feel that (while he was and always will be the greatest 007) Connery's continued participation in any form has long been completely irrelevant to the Bond series.
