With Fassbender on board the project just got a hole lot more credibilitier.

I don't know. He's been in a lot of crap recently (PROMETHEUS, SHAME, X MEN FIRST CLASS, HAYWIRE etc.).

I've only seen 2 of the 4 films you mentioned, and he was excellent in both, even if Prometheus was less than it could have been. I think the reason why I posted this, though, is that with Fassbender attached to the project it has a better chance of actually being brought to the big screen. Now, for the love of God, if we could just get James Cameron or Peter Jackson to develop a live-action version of HALO I could die a happy man (but preferably in 40-50 years, not right away).

And was he attached to the movie about Ian Fleming that is in development or is my mind confused?

Prometheus wasn't a great movie, but he was quite good in it, I thought. His scenes in Haywire are also far-and-away the best parts of the film.

He is picking really poor films for such a great actor. Though Shame was fantastic, as was Inglourious Basterds, and Jane Eyre was quite good.

I don't think you can really blame Fassbender for PROMETHEUS' faults. Pretty much everyone agreed that he was the high point of the film, and if some reports are to be believed, the studios bear the burden of responsibility for its flaws, butchering the script because they wanted to turn the film into a trilogy.

Never played these games and they don't sound all that interesting. Fassbender's involvement has me curious, but I'll wait for more info.

As ever with video game adaptations, approach with caution.

I do genuinely think he is a talented actor, which makes it even more unfortunate he has to devote his time to this kind of nonsense.
