Weekly Debate

I was just thinking, is there any real need for the 'Weekly Debate' section of the forum any more? As much as I love reading and sometimes contributing to it, it appears to be there just to spread out the number of threads on the forum (a bit like the ridiculous breaking down of the 'Commander Bond' forums). Surely these threads could easily find there way in to the other sections of the forum.

If not, then I at least think that 'Weekly' should be taken out of the title because the threads do not open and close on a regular weekly cycle as the title implies. Unless of course somebody (probably one of the mods) was given a snazzy new title ('Debate Dweller' or something) and was given the role to stricly control the running of the debates section.

So what does everybody else think?

I think it's a worthwhile section to keep, but I agree that the "weekly" part of it's a misnomer.

Yeah, pretty much what Sharky said. Essentially every thread is a debate and we do it daily, so the "weekly" part is probably redundant.
