I can't believe this song got over 300 million hits on youtube....
When I first heard the song randomly here and there, I thought I was hearing an old Sting song way back in the days with the Police. Nevertheless, the tune is decent, and his vocals really selll the song when he starts ripping into the pain she's caused him.
Popular music is easily the biggest hits on Youtube, mainly because -Kids will constantly seek out the music video on Youtube when they want to hear it on their mobile phones and -Record labels have a reason to inflate the view count to solidify an artist's popularity.
Inflating your Youtube views count isn't that hard. It's just tedious and most people have better things to do with their time than watch their computer refresh a video.
EDIT: I just checked and almost all of the top Youtube videos are from popular musicians, topped by Justin Bieber. The former champ (Evolution of Dance) has less than a third of the views Bieber has for his top single.
