Miami Vice (1984-1989)

Surprised I've never gotten around to listing these. A few noteworthy Bond movie stars appeared throughout the series.

Michael Madsen (S1, Ep. 10 "Give a Little, Take a Little")
Walter Gotell (S3, Ep. 1 "When Irish Eyes Are Crying")
Benicio Del Toro (S3, Ep. 23 "Everybody's in Show Biz")
Jeroen Krabbé (S3, Ep. 24 "Heroes of the Revolution")
Sheena Easton (technically) (Had a prominent role as a singer who marries Crockett in Season Four, appears multiple times throughout the Season starting with S4, Ep. 8 "Like a Hurricane")
Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa (S4, Ep. 9 "Rising Sun of Death" & S5, Ep. 7 "Asian Cut")
Vincent Schiavelli (S5, Ep. 18 "World of Trouble")

Jonathan Pryce and Olga Kurylenko are teaming up for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote. Here's the one liner:

An advertising executive jumps back and forth in time between 21st century London and 17th century La Mancha, where Don Quixote mistakes him for Sancho Panza.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1318517/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1

Sounds interesting enough. Looking forward to seeing a trailer.

Brosnan posted on Facebook that he is working on a film called 'Spinning Man' alongside Minnie Driver. Of course, he mentions that the last time he worked with Driver was on GE.

Pool of London (1951)- Earl Cameron, Laurence Naismith (would tentatively add Alfie Bass who apparently appears in Moonraker as a 'consumptive Italian')

Juggernaut (1974)- Julian Glover, Clifton James

-coincidentally I watched this the day after James had died and it served as a tribute viewing. Not quite what he would have wanted to remembered by I suspect.

The Sweeney (1975-78)- John Rhys-Davies, Vernon Dobtcheff, Julian Glover, Geoffrey Palmer, Catherine Schell

I suppose we'll stretch the limit with the 1959 version of The 39 Steps

Reginald Beckwith (Minister, Thunderball), Michael Goodliffe (Tanner, TMWTGG) and Michael Brennan (one of Largo's main goons in Thunderball).

On the quiet ol' Brennan, who had quite a familiar face (the kind of actor you'd think "I've seen him in something" and turns out half of British cinema in the 1950s) did a few with other 'minor' bit players in the Bond gallery.

The A-Team indeed. Did Hedison share the screen with Davi or Kotto at all?

Sadly not. Though Clifton James did play a sheriff, albeit a corrupt one. So halfway there.

I'm sorry, I forgot John Logan for Penny Dreadful, who created it. Seems like there's almost only Bondian personal involved here. big grin

The Protectors (1972-74)

Ed Bishop, Vladek Sheybal, Laurence Naismith, George Baker, Shane Rimmer, Anthony Chinn (Dr No, GF, YOLT and VTAK), Michael Goodliffe, Douglas Wilmer, David Bauer, Jeremy Wilkin, Robert Brown, Vernon Dobtcheff, Joanna Lumley, stuntman Martin Grace, Christopher Neame (LTK -Fallon) stuntman Bob Anderson (FRWL, DAD), George Pravda (Kutze, Thunderball)

*Yasuko Nagazumi (of Space 1999 fame is credited in YOLT as 'Bath Girl#4')
**George Roubicek (YOLT, US Astronaut#2 and TSWLM, Stromberg One skipper)

scores more probably with Bond bit roles, used quite a few stuntmen who did Bond films from Dr No onwards.

seeing as it's out on blu ray, went to check the cast list over and whatnot -Doppelganger (Journey to the Far Side of the Sun)

liberally sprinkled with Bond alum big and very small

Ed Bishop, Vladek Sheybal, Anthony Chinn, Peter Burton (Armourer, Dr No), Basil Moss and John Stone (Submarine personnel YOLT) and the late Jeremy Wilkin

being an Anderson production many were Anderson alum. More-so than Bond.

Don't forget Derek Meddings, Hilly. His work on Journey to the Far Side of the Sun is magnificent and he should have got the Oscar; in a film like this, the models and special effects are more important than any bleeding-heart thesp. Maybe you should include Gerry Anderson and Tony Barwick as well. They did a lot of work for Eon in the 1970s, all of it uncredited.

of course, my apologies. I've not seen Dopperlganger since I was little, I don't remember much from it. I didn't know about Anderson/Barwick doing work for EON. Did read a quote by Anderson saying he thought it a shame Ed Bishop never had international success as a major star and that he should've been James Bond.

I think it was in 1970, when Moonraker was in pre-production. Tony Barwick and Gerry Anderson came up with a plot involving a meglomaniac and his sub-eating supertanker but the treatment was shelved after Sean Connery agreed to come back for DAF. Eon reused the idea uncredited for The Spy Who Loved Me and Anderson (not sure about Barwick) took legal action. However, he was broke after his divorce so dropped the case in exchange for a paltry 'cease and desist' payment from Eon.
