Black 33

Poker, Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, slots... you name it. I love gambling games and intend to learn more about them this year... which means you will too.

Why the name of the thread? Well, some of you may remember the story of me being at the Fleming exhibit in London in 2008 and betting on Black 33 at roulette. My fellow bondcampers said, "Kitts, that's not how it's done. You can't win that way." I said, "I want black 33." The wheel spun and it came up Black 33. 8) It's my lucky number.


So, who else is addicted to late-night poker? I've got a massive crush on Tom Dwan.... anyone else? :twisted:

Texas hold 'em is a real man's game. Baccarat is elitist nonsense. I know because I trust the producers of Casino Royale.

I love to gamble, especially real card games. A local casino near my house only offers a variety of slot games and real horse racing. I am not a big fan of slots as I think they are heavily rigged. But give me a table with real cards and I love it. Blackjack is my favorite and that is usually what I play when I head to casinos. There is an Indian reservation about 3 hours from my home in NY, and they have a brilliant Casino/ hotel which is quite big. The only problem is the smoke inside the casino. Living in NY you arent allowed to smoke in public places, but since this is an Indian reservations they have their own rules. At least the gas prices are usually below average.

I love that Americans have generally gone over the top with the politically correct wording and such but still call aboriginals or native americans "indians". I see that all the time.

We call them first nations in Canada. I consider myself a third nations person.

I love blackjack... When I was in my early 20s I frequented a bar that had a table or two. You'd buy in for $10 and play for as long as your chips lasted. Sometimes I'd play for hours - much to the dismay of my bar buddy. One night I broke the bank. This pleased the dealer as he could close the table and come dance with us. He even draped a black table cloth over the table like in the old days.

I love a good punt at the races. I enjoy card games but I'm useless at them once I start drinking, which is the only time I tend to find myself in the casino. . I have inexplicable luck on the pokies (slot).

It's an Indian reservation, what else am I suppose to call it? Unless you would like me to call it the Oneida Indian reservation, thats the correct tribe name that it's listed on their website.
