Clever! Based off the first Michael France draft, no less.

Clever indeed. Wonder if there is a fan made trailer based on the scrapped Bond 17 (i.e. the nanobots, Japan setting, etc.). Dalton in the Michael France version of GE isn't totally enticing given that his draft isn't that great.

alright it's not a Bond film as such, well it's not, but I was perusing the late Siegfreid Rauch's filmography and this caught the eye title wise and thus I sought the trailer...

It does have the flimsiest if not stupidest plot. Just an excuse for Bogner to layer it with stunts. Might as well just have made a stunt movie and left anything else out.
Closest I can think off is Hal Needham's Hooper but that was solid fun.

Now that we have Eon's email address for Bond 25, we should send that to Babs.

Brilliant trailer! I wish we see a version of that with Bond music too.
The editing was great. Particularly like the "It's a tough business you've picked Miss Bouvier", with shots of Bond fighting in the brawl. Then: "Don't talk to me about danger", and cutting to Pam taking care of herself in the bar fight.

many moons ago flicking through channels caught a daytime movie with Dalton in it. Bitter Suite (or Time Share). Piece of crap I ended up watching it till end. To this day, I suspect it was because of Dalton.
I suspect one he did for the money...

It's worth it just for the look on Lazenby's face after he messes with the clapperboard in the car with Draco's goons.

So seamless is his transition into the shot itself. Good find Hilly!

So it seem GE heavily based the car chase on this sequence, some almost being shot for shot remade.
I'll say this, it could easily improve with "Ladies First" synced in.

Holy crap you're right! Well there goes a point for originality. Campbell made a ton of references in GE but I hadn't realized this. It's still weird seeing the WILD BUNCH nods in GE though. This has long been in my MUST SEE IT FOR CAINE list and only recently came out in a decent disc in the states.

Have any of you seen these MGM documentaries on the making of the Bond films? They are narrated by Patrick MacNee, and I find them fascinating. There is some well known info in them, but there is also a lot of interesting information that I had never seen or heard before. I am leaving the link to the Live and Let Die documentary, as I really enjoyed it, but they are all good. I was surprised at how often the stunts went wrong and resulted in varying degrees of injury. There were a bunch of minor injuries in LALD, indeed in all the movies, but in Octopussy, a stuntman on the side of the train was badly smashed against a telegraph pole. At least the crocodile scene went smoothly *snert*. Seriously, this includes all five takes of Ross Kanaga’s attempts. They are truly hair raising and worth the watch alone!
Here is LALD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajyPhACgKPM Here is the channel where you can find them all: https://www.youtube.com/user/chillimocha/videos It has lots of other Bond vids as well. Enjoy!

This is the Making of Casino Royale.
So, this is a long video, 2 and a half hours. It seems like a mash of several documentaries, but I’m not sure. I’ve watched it all, but I haven’t watched it start to finish in one go, so I don’t know if or where any breaks might be. Still, it is very interesting. It starts off with some documentary stuff that a lot of us already know, but it also includes lots of stuff I’d never heard. It’s interesting to see how many old Bond actors returned for this. Everyone knows the poker lady is from YOLT, but the “Jump” dancing lady in orange pants from Dr. No is also in the Ocean Club poker scene, IIRC. There is a lot of deep history on the path that the novel took before ending up with EON, but later on (after hour two) they get in depth on some of the bigger set pieces, like the opening action sequence, Miami airport, and the crumbling building in Venice. Interesting fact: They make miniatures at 1/3 scale, because water still looks natural at that scale.
Enjoy!

The MGMUA docus are legendary in home video realms. Along with the original docus made for the classic Universal Horror films on the first DVDs I don't know if any other making of's are as revered.
These were all produced and directed by John Cork and Bruce Scivally back in the 90's originally for Laserdisc but only GF and TB got released before the reissues were abandoned and instead resurrected on DVD. Thus the other documentaries first appeared on the SE DVDs and carried over onto later releases. Some were redone in HD for the Blu-rays but that removes some of the charm I think. the amazing thing was all of the interview footage they got and this included footage of people who had already passed by the time the DVDs eventually came out.
As a kid I found the rare VHS tape that had the GF and TB documentaries from the Laserdisc deluxe boxets and literally watched it so many times I had memorized the whole thing. That was my video bible, and Rubin's JB Movie Encyclopedia was my printed bible.
But I will say the commentary tracks are never talked about, cover some of the same ground and go into more details. These were also produced by the same team and are INVALUABLE. Of course they're not as lively and uncensored as the Criterion tracks, but still essential.
Every time I die laughing in the criterion commentaries when on GF Peter Hunt is talking about Sean's physical presence and sheer masculinity/charisma and says "he could've walked into any room and just f***ed anybody!". Priceless. Equally so is Young describing how he accidentally used his wife's hair coloring shampoo and thus had to meet Pedro Amendariz for the first time with crazily colored hair in a fancy hotel and insist that he was not of a certain persuasion...and you can see why EON deemed these as a bit too out there.
