Curb Your Enthusiasm's "Palestinian Chicken"
so far beyond the PC line (by British standards), unbearably hilarious and classic Curb in how everything can unravel in a matter of seconds. Could Larry David bring peace to the Middle East? Who knows.
I imagine it's not universally liked but Season 8 has some good moments, best summed up at the end when he takes on Michael J. Fox. There's going to be no Season 9 until at least 2014 as David's working on a 'HBO movie'. Anything like Whatever Works it might as well be Curb Your Enthusiasm The Movie.

Must get the Curb Season 8 DVD, need Larry's particular brand of misanthropy back in my life.

I'm having to get my fix via More4 at the moment. I think Season 8 got reduced in HMV. I say this, HMV tends to be odd across the board.

More4 starting to continue Curb Your Enthusiasm after three or so weeks without it and picking up with Vow of Silence. Not quite a laugh-a-minute but hilarious enough with Larry and Jeff eating the dog's ice cream, the Richard Lewis aspect and all ending with Larry et al heading East.
Bought Season 8 at the weekend, have only watched episode 1 so far.

Coincidentally, I just finished all 8 seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Fantastic show. For some odd reason I can really empathise with a jokey, neurotic Jewish man.

Sometimes I swear I'm the Aryan George Costanza/Larry David. The difference is my schemes seem to pay off... I'll chalk that up to being a gentile.

Watched the second ep of Season 8 a few days ago ... hilarious. Looking forward to the eps where Larry manages to offend Ricky Gervais and Michael J. Fox.

Likewise but then people think I'm Jewish anyway based on appearance.

watching the Gervais one now, The Hero. Gervais rubs me the wrong way most days but Larry trumps him most times :) Prefer Larry in NYC. As for the MJF episode, fantatsic way to end the season.

Love all the series' identifiable moments, like Larry handling a magazine that's been in the bathroom as if it's nucelar waste. Kindred spirits, I tell ya.
Also fond of the Suzie character. Never get tired of hearing "Larry David you four-eyed fuck!"

I've never seen beyond the third season. I may still have the first four on DVD. I'll have to get around to seeing the whole show. Susie is fantastic. I hope Richard Lewis is still on the show.
Actually, I think I sold them already. Son of a bitch.

Second ep of Season 8 has a very funny Lewis-centric storyline.

huzzar, successful mod action results in split...
I didn't think Curb would be worthy of a thread but shows what I know.
Alas, Lewis is absent for much of Season 8 but his final appearance is hilarious. Indeed, the show doesn't have enough Richard Lewis.
Larry David Swan Killer always provokes roars of laughter this end.

I watched a season or two of this show and loved it. Then, suddenly, I found myself tired of its schtick. Dunno what happened.

The Bi-Sexual. The return of Larry's arch-nemesis, Rosie O'Donnell. A true battle of wits. Got to love the viagara dealer scene.
More4 reliably informs thus that Curb will return in January. Might as well buy the boxset at this rate.

one of the best episodes ever. His penis sought a homeland and found it.
Funkhouser was something else, that moment when his yarmulke fell off.

Well, got to Mr Softee on Season 8 (More 4) and well...probably the most funniest, uncomfortable, cringiest scene -Suzie in Larry's car which has already given his girlfriend and Leon certain perks. Oh...poor Larry.
See, if my life was a movie Larry could star in it. I'm aware of certain issues but details, details.

Last one watched was the Gervais guest-starrer ... 'No, I loved Seinfeld. I love broad comedy'. Brilliant.
