| Just been looking at the "Report An Abuse" section on Forumotion. Any of the following "abuses" can be reported against us by a complainant by clicking on the relevant "abuse" from the list there.
The list reads:
Sexual and/or pornographic content Violent or repulsive content Hateful or abusive content Defamatory content and/or affecting the integrity of a person Harmful and dangerous acts Drugs and any other illicit substance Sale or exchange of medication Copyright infringment Spam Phishing and/or malware website Credit card fraud Hacking
Now, of that list:
Sexual and/or pornographic content - There's a pile of topless women photos in the tits thread. Hateful or abusive content - Maybe a few insults here and there towards certain MI6 staff. Defamatory content and/or affecting the integrity of a person - As above.. Copyright infringment - Possibly. Photos are posted here which are readily available right across the internet, but copyright was obviously a cause for complaint at MI6.
Now, I'm gonna be realistic about this. There's certain people who won't be happy about the existence of this place. One of those people may have been in here tonight, though we can't know for certain. If this person was in here tonight, then there's a very real possibility that efforts will be made to bring down this forum through likely reporting a violation of any or many of the "abuses" listed above. I think it would help for us to be prepared on this.
What do other people think of this? If we were reported, would we likely simply receive a warning to remove potentially "abusive" content? Or, worst case scenario, a complete immediate shutdown?
Maybe M knows more about this kind of stuff. But I'm guessing it would probably still help if any members with any experience of such problems on other forums could give us a few pointers on this stuff. Anyone?

| I have a couple of meetings yet today but will do a bit of reading on this tonight at home. I would really rather not use links for the tits thread so I want to find out their definition of pornographic. The swearing should be fine though. Copyright may be an issue... but as long as it's a private forum, I don't know how or why anyone would complain... Brown's been reading on this, I think, so maybe he can do a bit more... I'm not sure there is anything else in that list about which we have to worry though. I've checked my posts and there is nothing libelous in them. Others may want to check theirs too just to be sure. |

| I don't think we're in any trouble but I am cautious that the MI6 minions would want to bring this site down by any means.
And for being prepared I would have suggested putting down our e-mails on this thread so we can always have a way of contacting eachother in case anything happens but at the same time I wouldn't want some dickhead who's trying to compromise our site to have access to it. |

| What forumotion considers pornographic is probably bare...anything. Breasts, vaginas, whatever. Those images should be made links rather than posted directly on the forum. However, that might not be enough. Perhaps it would be best to forgo images of full nudity altogether. We all have imaginations. Regarding hateful content, I doubt anything on here could be construed as hateful. For safety's sake, though, maybe the MI6 thread should be closed, and discussion of the place can be (for the most part) ceased. Not to limit anyone's expressions of distaste, but perhaps dropping MI6-talk would be best for the community anyway. Regarding copyright - loads of other Bond forums openly use EON images. The difference with MI6 is that they're running a business, and can't step on EON's toes. That isn't the case here. No one's making any money off this. - Makeshift Python wrote:

I think a better route to take would be for everyone to PM a certain member (Lazenby?) their e-mails, and he would create a master list. When it's finished, he would then send it off to everyone on the list. That way, we all have a way of re-grouping. |

| Good post LA.
I sent an email off to Tux this morning to see what he thought about the images in the tits thread. I have since linked them all just to be on the safe side for now. Though, there isn't much harm in just clicking on something extra. I'm all for closing down the MI6 thread too. It'll help us all move on, if I'm perfectly honest. However, it's a board decision, and I'll let everybody decide on that one. |

| First of all, there should be a T&C stating this is a site for adults (18+). Anyone below that age, or borderline, should understand that they enter threads and post here on their own terms and at their own risk. That's the only major issue I can see occurring.
Otherwise, there are plenty of free forums on the Net worse than this place, as far as sexuality, swearing, copyright images, etc. As long as we keep the doors locked, and only let in desirable contributors, then we'll be fine. |

| I spent a lot of time reading the forumotion information last night. I don't have time to go into it all at the moment and want to review it over the weekend but, with respect to the tits thread, only a few of those photos crossed the line. I don't see the point in having a picture thread where you have to link every photo. If that were the case we could just put a link to a google image search and be done with it. My other concern with the links is that some folks may push the line a bit further and link to inappropriate photos (over time with more members) and I certainly don't want a nasty surprise.
So my suggestion for that thread is to post the images as images using the same boundaries used in clubs and restaurants these days: No vagina or ass details and nipples must be covered. So a g-string and pasties is perfectly acceptable. So is nudity if those parts are creatively covered.
If someone wants to post something showing a bit more, we can do what we did in the old days: save the pic and censor the naughty bits to make it "decent" to show on the forum and then post a link underneath it to the unedited version. The point of the thread was share beautiful images, not push the boundaries.
I agree with Brown about the T&C when someone signs up and there is a lot we can do with that. Forumotion even has the ability to make images only seen by certain people on the forum, otherwise it's just a box. I will read more of that over the weekend and send Lazenby and M a link to all the interesting bits I've found.
Fieldsman, thanks for the work in the tits thread. There were only a few that needed to be linked though. I'll go through it later and code the ones that are safe. |

| Just my two cents. I think you want to cover yourself on the porn and language possibilities. Thats kind of universal.
These categories below are obviously a no go.
Sale or exchange of medication Spam Phishing and/or malware website Credit card fraud Hacking
The rest is very subjective and/or arbitrary. I wouldn't sweat them but rather just be aware. |
