| This thread is about Netflix. What you rent, what will be available for rental, what will be available on instant and how long it will be on instant.
For example: On April 1st a bulk of the Bond films will be available on Instant.
Thunderball You Only Live Twice On Her Majesty's Secret Service Diamonds Are Forever Live and Let Die The Man with the Golden Gun The Spy Who Loved Me Moonraker For Your Eyes Only Octopussy A View to a Kill The Living Daylights Licence to Kill
Seems that Connery's 1:66 flat trilogy, Brosnan's and Craig's will not be a part of the batch to go online. Just the years 1965-1989. At least according to the info.

| It lists upcoming films, and tell you how long everything is up. And you can play it right from there.
BTW, Trek shows may be coming to Instant.
I'm happy to see ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK is up. Kinda want to watch that and ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 again. |

I heard of that. Would be interesting to see which shows. TNG so far has been the only Trek show never to get streaming, nor has episodes ever been on sale at iTunes. |

TNG so far has been the only Trek show never to get streaming, nor has episodes ever been on sale at iTunes. I'm sure TOS will be the Rebastard versions. The S3 DVD goes for 30 bucks new on Amazon these days. I intend to snatch one up soon. |

| Wow, I remember used copies were much more expensive than that when I bought them on Amazon.
Probably because of the hype of nuTrek no longer being around like it was in 2009.

| Just checked out some of the Bond titles on Netflix instant. Not only are they HD viewable but they're also presented with the original mono mix (at least YOLT and OHMSS which I checked, haven't seen the others yet). This only confirms even more of EON having dropped the 5.1 mixes that were made for the 2006 DVDs. Glad they dropped it so Netflix viewers can watch these flicks with the correct sound. |

OHMSS is in HD? As in without the shitty filters and whatnot!? |

OHMSS is in HD? As in without the shitty filters and whatnot!? Lazenby is no longer a Na'vi. I think it's the same transfer that was used for the iTunes HD copy I screencapped awhile back in the old KTBEU, which looked great. I can't watch the UE copy anymore after seeing that. |

| Gone With the Wind is now instant on Netflix. Makes for easier screen capturing for me.... WPM doesn't cooperate very well, and the Netflix player does.
So yeah, go watch the best movie ever made on Netflix.
The quality is pretty decent, too. Can't say that for every stream on Netflix. |

| Anyone know what's the deal with the Trek shows getting streamed? It was supposed to start in April, nothing happened. |

| I don't really know too much about Netflix. I was going to join when I planned on getting a Blu-Ray player, but I dropped those plans (and the player) for other things. What's better? iTunes HD or Netflix HD? |

Depends. In my case it's Netflix since my PS3 has a pretty good internet connection to play HD mode. My computer isn't that powerful so while I can watch an HD title from iTunes there would be instances of the play slowing down if another program starts interfering but that's just my computer, I'm sure others are more powerful.. Plus once you play the title you can only hold onto it for 24 hours before it expires, while for Netflix it will last however long the studios will grant it, a month at minimum. Some titles I noticed have lasted for years on Instant. Netflix's subscription added an extra option where you can exclusively subscribe to Instant only (no disc rentals) for $7.99 a month. I always stick to both disc and Instant because not everything is on the latter. I do wish more TV shows would be on Instant, they really need get studios/networks to agree on something. There's plenty of titles out there I would love to check out. I've netflixed TV shows before and it really gets mundane switching/mailing discs for a season when there are movie titles you'd also like to see. |

| They finally started streaming all of the MI-5s ... I had only seen the first four seasons (repeatedly), so I have been in deep cover since start of month, and am now into season 8 already!
Geez, I really love this show. Seems to me that CR and QOS both borrowed some from the series, and maybe they should have borrowed a lot more ... like the whole writing staff!
Beginning couple hours of season 6 is probably among my faves of TV in the last decade. |

| Just noticed that the Bond films were put back on.
And that they'll be off again at the start of October.
Gonna try watching OHMSS all the way through in HD soon. Watched the PTS, so nice seeing the blue filter not present like it was on the DVD. |
