He's still with us. Too useful to ban.

Said he was an ex-MI6 mod, and I managed to trace his IP to Wales.

That's exactly the position I was put in, which I explained very clearly at the time, whilst doing nothing but praise our mods/members for their initial handling of Dragonpol's public nervous breakdown on the forums following his spat with Ambler.

Still, there was a pattern developing with his posts which was becoming really grating. Every time I'd post something, I'd get practically the same reply from Dragonpol, either a pointless attempt to up his post count or just one attempt after another to "suck up", "brown nose", whatever, a bit like that Samuel guy from MI6 but on steroids. I gave him every chance to contribute, but I can easily see people's POV here in claiming he was dominating the boards in an excessive way and often to no end.

So, let's move on.

Er, I didn't challenge. I just don't really go along with failing to follow up such oblique references. I don't want to be an outright bitch but neither am I a coward. But yes, he was annoying. I may have been rude but I don't know about unnecessary. He posted rabidly but none of it was worthwhile content from what I could work out. I know, I know, people in glass houses blah blah blah - but then I don't spray my scent so indiscriminately.

Excellent. I can add it to my already extensive collection. I'm just trying to work out when and why the rot set in - was it something to do with an American politics thread of some kind that I didn't pay that much attention to?

I'm not aware of any new rules. I thought you were too old to have an attention span that can only follow novelty.
