Seriously, who isn't going to click on that? That's gold. We will be getting hits like crazy.
No. We need to get rid of our trailer trasgh image. I doubt such a name would help us much in that direction.
P.S. I do hope you were joking. I never joke about my work, 007. |

Classic cinema and an anarchic sense of humour. If we used our members for their own strengths and specialities, we could strike gold. Just imagine a weekly film analysis by Harmsway, a book review by Loomis or 6of1, latest albums reviewed by Lazenby., one of Dragonpol's theses on lit Bond, a commentary on Australian politics from Vesper and Prisoner Monkeys, a news satire/fake Agony Aunt column from me and Ambler, and so on. |

Very good. - A Watcher wrote:

Decent, but I think Square Eyes, Round Table has the edge - it practically begs for a cinema screen to replace the 'a' in square, and a vinyl record for the 'o' in round. - A Watcher wrote:

It helps if you put a tagline - i.e. Voices of Culture - with it. It doesn't take more than a quick Google search to figure out that vox means Latin for voice. |

There's a conspicuous absence here. :x If my potty mouth is a problem, I can limit the swearing in my column to a dozen f-bombs and c-bombs (that's a dozen each). |

| Of the names suggested, CULTUREVOX sounds like one of the leading candidates. It's short, to the point, sounds slightly cool and is easily taglined (The voice of modern culture, The definitive voice of culture, etc), plus the title sums up what we do here and what this forum is for. (THE) MINISTRY OF CULTURE has potential as well, it sounds kinda cool due to it's resemblance to MINISTRY OF SOUND, it has a distinguished and official-sounding vibe to it, plus it's not too far away from MINISTRY OF DEFENCE, to keep a bit of a Bond link to it. VOX on it's own is a long-defunct NME/MELODY MAKER/Q-rivalling music mag from the 90s, so maybe we might be best avoiding looking as if we're just the desperate last gasp of a long-defunct and unnecessary music mag competing in an already saturated market. I still quite like Laz's CULTURECIDE, but my idea with that one would be to change the spelling to CULTURESIDE, and have the board sections labelled as SIDE A and SIDE B, with an additional C and D if required (or use numbers for the sides instead). The logo could have the S in CULTURESIDE slashed through the centre so that the letter can be viewed as either a C or an S, but could also be used as a forum logo because of the C and S representing an abbreviation of CULTURESIDE.
If anyone can think of any good fonts or logos to use, or can knock up a quick banner for any of those names, that would be great. |

| Now I feel we should just stay as Bond and Beyond. I was open to the idea of de-Bonding the place but now it just doesn't FEEL right. Let's just focus on redesigning the place. |

| Fair play to those who would want to remain as Bond And Beyond, trust me I don't want to HAVE to change that, the name has it's tradition, history and legacy etc, but in the interests of progress and getting us out of our current or impending malaise/implosion/stagnation/slow death/departure lounge situation, it feels like one of the only options we have.
Those on favour of simply a redesign, we need to see something which, through that design alone, can solve our current or impending problems as good as a rebranding could. The clock is ticking. I'm as sentimental a person as anyone, but I value staying alive or avoiding near or slow death more highly right now.
IIRC, people had wanted change at MI6 a few years back for very similar reasons to the reasons people want change here. Those people were not consulted and had, in their opinion, a mass and largely detested change dumped upon them. I'm doing my utmost to avoid that happening here, but we have to be constructive, proactive and positive about it. If people don't want change, then I really need selling on what that means for the future of the forums. |

Believe me when I say that the majority of us here want meaningful change and reform over the alternative of a slow death. There will be no repeat of the events that happened over on MI6 when it brought about change as things are being much better handled here on BaB. That's why I, and undoubtedly other loyal members, will remain on here until the bitter end to see the job of reform and change through. |

| QUANTUM Questioning Arts & News Through a Unique Mindset When it comes to culture, we have people EVERYWHERE.
Maintains a Bond link too, whilst remaining universal, short and a bit mysterious. Also draws neat parallel between the Quantum organisation and our own "rogue" organisation assembled here. Logo & banner would be easy as well, using the QOS lettering and it's Q Quantum logo. |

| I'd be fonder of that if I actually liked QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
FWIW, CULTUREVOX works for me best out of the suggestions so far. |

| QUANTUM would have been a cool name, if only the film was better.
Frankly, I hate any title that contains "culture". It sounds too stuffy in any form. I'd prefer a title that actually sounds fun. |

| I came up with CULTUREVOX due to Laz wanting a punchy one-word title like NME, Uncut, Pitchfork, Mojo or his own suggestion - CULTURECIDE. I've given him that, and now he wants to use the name of one of the shittiest Bond films and a poor man's SPECTRE. I don't get it. |

| My preferred new name was B.L.E.A.K - Brian, Lolz, Enablers, Aspies and Kunts - but that's been overtaken by events. |

Clearly, but in order for CULTUREVOX to pass it doesn't have to win everybody's vote - just a majority. |

| The name CULTUREVOX lacks warmth, but it nevertheless has a certain strength and sleekness that exceeds that of most of the other suggested titles, and also clearly suggests the forum's purpose. I also think it looks good in print: |
