Femme Fatales in Cinema Empty
PostSubject: Femme Fatales in Cinema   Femme Fatales in Cinema EmptyThu Oct 27, 2011 7:20 pm

I was trying to think of some of the sexiest, most dangerous villainesses in cinema...Here's are a few of my favorites to get us started:

#1 Sarah Douglas (Ursa in SUPERMAN and SUPERMAN II)

In the 80's Sarah Douglas was the go-to actress for playing the villainess: Conan The Destroyer, Falcon Crest, V:The Final Battle, and she was good in every role, but she was never better than when she played Ursa. She was the perfect combination of both beauty, brains, and a stone-cold killer. Quite simply she was unforgettable, and to this day no one has ever topped that role.

#2 Michelle Pfeiffer (Catwoman in Batman Returns)
A close runner up to Sarah Douglas...and probably the best Catwoman so far. She bring a real menace to the role and a sense of danger, while still being sexy and a bit crazy.

#3 Sharon Stone (Catherine Trammel in Basic Instinct)

#4 Sharon Stone (Lori; Total Recall)

#5 Famke Janssen (Xenia Onatopp; Goldeneye)

#6 Barbara Carrera (Fatima Blush; Never Say Never Again)

The one truly outstanding, priceless contribution to the Bond series made by an otherwise forgettable film.

#7 Rosemund Pike (Gala Brand Miranda Frost; Die Another Day)

Not necessarily an obvious choice, but there is something about the way she glides in and out from stiff, arch-conservative, emotionally-distant, haughty MI6 agent to cold, efficient, brutal killer. She's sexy in a wholesome, non-sexual way...if that makes any sense. In other words, she doesn't need to flash the goods like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. Rosamund practically steals the movie in a role that could have really gone the other way and been horribly over-acted or even no-acting at all; it's not necessarily a splashy role when compared to a Xenia Onatopp, May Day, or Pussy Galore, but Rosemund really makes the most of it.

#8 Li BingBing (White Haired Witch; The Forbidden Kingdom)

#9 Allison Doody (Dr.Schnieder; Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade)

How did Allison Doody *NOT* become a major star after this film???? :?: :x :( 🇳🇴 :pale: :silent: 😕

#10 Natasha Henstridge (Sil; Species)

I don't know that I love any femme fatale more than Elsa Bannister (Rita Hayworth) from THE LADY FROM SHANGHAI.

But, if she counts, Romy Schneider's Leni from THE TRIAL comes close.
