Has anyone downloaded games using STEAM?

I'm more familiar with hardcopy games on DVD or CD and have never used Steam before. Has anyone tried it? I'm interested in The Walking Dead. (isn't there actual PC software for this game?)

I'm not an avid gamer, but from what I understand PC games are increasingly being released through Steam rather than in stores.

Yep. Steam is great. Their Greenlight service is a great way to check out indie games.

I use STEAM and have no complaints, my collection moves with me, never encountered any problems playing minus an internet connection (once downloaded of course) and bagged some real bargains in their sales (and some titles you cannot easily find on physical media any more).

Checked it out today on a whim and they had a 75% off sale, meaning $25 games are marked down to $6.24. Downloading a bundle now
