The waiting list for the referral to a counselor is familiar. Been on the same boat before (that waiting list that is... not getting raped hundreds of times). |

| Absolutely disturbing. Not just the 300+ rapes, but the fact that she's not getting any assistance. I don't think you'd have a hard time getting help in the US. You'd just need to be able to shell out the dough for a good therapist, or have the right type of insurance to cover it. Like lawyers, the less money you have, the shittier the therapist you'll need to settle with. I have a friend (a woman) who recently went "shopping" for a therapist. Two of the four that she visited couldn't even remember her name by the end of the session.  |
