The book does look magnificent, though I guess it helps if you like OHMSS and everything attached to it. Liked some of those pictures in the sample gallery. Good one of Lazenby in a white shirt with Rigg just looking at the camera.

I couldn't believe there'd be so many photos kept unseen until now, heck the film's been out for over 40 years. I also love the section on the site with all those questions the book promises to answer as well. There must be so many fascinating little revelations and odd little things I didn't know of. Damn, I HAVE to have this book. :evil:

Some people have complained about the $54 price but after holding the book in my hands and giving it a thorough read, I can honestly tell you that it's worth every penny. It wasn't just written for hardcore James Bond fans like myself but also for students of film and popular culture. In addition to discussing OHMSS's unique production, the book gives brilliant insight into the art of filmmaking as well as how the people involved work together to create a cinematic masterpiece, a term that many Bond fans are beginning to bestow upon 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' 40+ years after its release.

If you're a James Bond fan or simply a movie buff, not owning THE MAKING OF ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE would be extremely foolish. That's a fact.

Ordered it for Christmas - cost me 55 AUD. Can't wait, though I hope those pamphlets and info boards I read at Piz Gloria havent given too much away.

I don't think you will be dissapointed, there is an incredible wealth of information in the book, no self respecting Bond fan (or indeed general movie fan) should be without it imo.
