| Never got to the point of "Homeland" in which Rupert Friend's role was expanded because I got tired of the series over the course of season two. |

| Craig rumoured to be staying on beyond Bond 25. I think it depends on how well Knives Out will do. If it flops like Logan Lucky, he'll be back. Everyone go see it! |

| I'd rather Craig come back than the bunch of choices we've been given as successors so far.
One of my friends is still juicing her panties over Tom Hiddleston but I seriously cannot see him as 007.
Until they give Henry Cavill a shout (since he's no longer Supes) I have zero interest in all others suggested. |

| The bean counters would probably love for Craig to stick around, but since Craig himself mentioned B25 will be his last, I'm going under the assumption that this is it for him. |

| Cavill's currently mid-30s and could potentially have signed up and have his first Bond flick be out before he'd turned 40. He's certainly a contender, particularly if the CR casting call did indeed come down to him and Craig. |

Not so sure anymore as the next rumour mill has Henry signing up for 4 more films featuring Superman. |

| Cavill got pretty screwed with his Superman gig. His first film was a decent enough hit at the box office to warrant a sequel of its own, and it's now been six years since that one film and no apparent plans for a follow up. The guy honestly deserved a better run than what he's getting. |

Until they give Henry Cavill a shout (since he's no longer Supes) I have zero interest in all others suggested. Fassbender would be ideal, Cavill I'd be happy with also. The other "names" - Elba, Lewis, etc. are just as laughable as Craig in the role. Hiddleston, Murphy or Madden might still be a minor improvement on what we have currently, but still not appropriate. Otherwise an unknown/lesser known actor. |

| Assbender was my first choice actually, but it seems like he's distanced himself from the running some time ago. |

| Fassbender and Elba would have been great as Bond, but they're too old at this point. I'd prefer they cast an actor that's in their mid to late 30s by the time Bond 26 production starts. |

| Idris Elba is the villain in the upcoming Hobbs and Shaw movie, which will most likely make more than Bond 25 since it will suck in the entire F&F audience. |

| Cavill looks the part. I can't think of any other actors who really stand out as suitable Elba as Bond? |

| Cavill is currently connected to the Netflix show based upon "The Witcher" series of novels. Assuming the first season of that is a success, he is likely to be tied up to that show for the foreseeable future. Not sure how much EON would be interested in adjusting their schedule to that of a long-running TV show. I think Netflix is banking on the notion that this could be their "Game of Thrones". |

| I've been saying for years now that the Assbender is the only viable option out there. Have yet to be convinced by any other contender. |

| I felt the same after seeing INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS for the first time. When I suggested him as a potential Bond on CraigNotBond forum I got a lot of snark for it by people who didn't even bother to see the bloody movie "you want the NAZI to play Bond????".
Assbender does deserve a much better career than he's getting. Despite two Oscar noms, he hasn't lead any hits, and his foray into action was that awful looking ASSASSINS CREED. |

As have I. Though, Fallout changed my mind on Cavill so IF it can't be Fassbender, I'd be happy with Cavill. The problem I had with Cavill initially is that I found his performances as Superman and Solo to be wooden in his line delivery. I haven't seen him perform with his natural accent but I imagine he'd be markedly better. His performance in Fallout - WITH an American accent - has been his best work (that I've seen), hopefully suggesting he's maturing as an actor. |

| I'm having a hard time picturing Assbender as Bond because the only thing I've seen him in is "Haywire" wherein he got beat up by a girl. |

| This might help: Also, check out Inglorious Basterds for a Bondesque performance as well as something like Shame. He has the acting chops. |

| In an alternate reality, he *is* Bond. |

Just imagine the girl is Babs Broccoli and you pretty much have the perfect representation of contemporary Bond anyway. |

In this reality, he's more Bond than the incumbent actor. |

| There's that scene from X-Men : First Class which could almost be Fassbender's Bond audition, right down to the three-piece suit he's wearing bearing a distinct resemblance to Connery's GF one. |

What he had to work with in the Superman films isn't helpful, but I thought he was a delight as Solo. I wish that film had panned out into a series. |

I thought he was a delight as Solo. I wish that film had panned out into a series. He's passable, but he's a lot better when he isn't talking. His accent work felt exaggerated so it was hard to buy at times. However, he was excellent in scenes where there's minimal dialogue, or none at all, i.e. the truck cabin scene. Similarly, I wished a full series eventuated. Fun flick. |
