| I have only read the first four, but strangely, my favourite one has been Diamonds Are Forever. I thoroughly enjoyed the other three, but something about DAF had captured me. I won't vote as yet, as I want to read them all before posting, but, which is yours? |

| I think I'll go with Casino Royale. It's my favourite at the moment anyway. I've still never read The Spy Who Loved Me though, I'll have to get around to that one. |

| Well I've only read GF, FRWL, CR, DN, OHMSS and MR.
And MR was my favourite thus far. I like how it kept to England and the ending is a favourite of mine because I feel it shows Bond as human and vulnerable.
But anyway - I won't vote in this until I've read them 'em. |

| I've altered the poll so that you can cancel your vote if needs be. I've voted for Diamonds Are Forever. |

Thanks, Fields - that is real helpful. :D Ditto. It's nice to know we can have that option. Anyhow I put On Her Majesty's Secret Service with Thunderball a close 2nd. They were the first two Ian Fleming novles I ever read, plus both film versions are in my top 5 Bond films so that probably has some influence as well. As for short stories I would say The Living Daylights followed by From A View To A Kill. |

| Gotta give it to CR. The original and the best as they say.
Special mention to OHMSS and its follow-up, YOLT.
DN is also up there. |

| OHMSS, one of the first I've read and since I've read all of them I have greater appreciation for it. Moonraker's a close second and probably Casino Royale tied thereabouts. |

| Casino Royale is my favourite, but Moonraker may be the better book. I voted CR anyway. |

| CR and MR are both my joint favourites but OHMSS and YOLT are not far behind.

| Dr. No. Pure pulp, but highly compelling. |

| I voted Moonraker. It's the most simple yet effective of the books I've read.
From Russia with Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and You Only Live Twice are also favorites. |

| Living Daylights. I like the neatness, the feeling that there is not even one word surplus to requirements. Very tight writing. And I love cynical Bond. |

I was the other guy who did. It melts me to the core. |

Some might say that remark is in bad taste. Keep it up. |

| Glad to see MR tied for the top, that was my vote. Moonraker was just a class of genius all on it's own. I'm still angry it was never properly adapted. |
