| It's kind of self-explanatory... It's a real upcoming film; I am not fooling you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am4_ZulZor0 |

| Saw the trailer the other day. Doesn't look as good as SPY, but wouldn't be against watching if I'm in the mood to switch off my brain for a couple of hours. |

| If you mean the Melissa McCarthy-film, I agree. I'm still undecided what to make of this; but I like the intro.

Didn't like Spy; Bond spoofs I like, Bond belittling not so much. Feig going on to direct the Ghostbusters remake/reboot/whatever the fuck it was with the female 'busters and Chris Hemsworth as dumb eye-candy speaks volumes, I think. By contrast, this looks quite fun. |

By contrast, this looks quite fun. Why is Spy belittling James Bond? They have split him into three different characters which I really like. And Melissa McCarthy is strongly rooted in comedy, that has nothing to do with female ghostbusters... |

| Every male spy in Spy is an incompetent fool, if memory serves. |

| The only Paul Feig movie I liked is "Bridesmaids". Everything since then has been an exercise in diminished returns. Both the writing and the visual style of the female "Ghostbusters" was terrible.

Agreed. But the women are not extremely competent either, are they? And the headquarters are full of vermin... . I think the whole spy-genre in itself is parodied; so it is fine with me. But this gender-motivated belittling is why I am unsure about this film. It hinges upon "well established truths" that women can't drive, scream all the time, and can't keep a secret. If they scream during the whole 90 minutes like that I won't be impressed. |

I didn't even like Bridesmaids that much. |

I didn't even like Bridesmaids that much. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was a decently funny comedy, albeit one that reached for the lowest common denominator a bit too often. |
