Thunderbirds Are Go/Thunderbird 6 Barry Gray

somehow wish there was more of the former film. T6 has a nice theme and decent re-use of the Fast Music but TAG has the wonderful Zero-X theme and not enough else sadly. The better of the two just too short.

Synthesised soundtracks have become something of a lost form. Sampled strings and drums is not what electronic music should be about. Oscillators offer alternative soundscapes. Tom Raybould gets that.

John Harrison's DAY OF THE DEAD:

Enjoyable 80s horror score. It's on sale this month at LaLaLand Records.

Listening to Patton whilst I write on something WWII related and there's always something about the German March/Winter March track. Or Bound for Bastogne, the use of the Patton theme.

"And a slave whispered a warning...that all glory...is fleeting."

Robin and Marian. Like High Road to China has a near wrenching love theme and tugs at the strings.

when I first saw the film all the way through it was most affecting. Tying to Robin's realisation that he's going to die and then the arrow sailing out into the open.

How did Barry do it?

The last score I bought was the expanded release of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi composed by John Williams.
