Yellow headlights

What's up with the yellow headlights on the henchcars at Auric Industries? They look like they have candles smoldering in there. Is it supposed to be something like everything around Goldfinger has to be gold-looking and so they changed the lights? They look atrocious.

Simply a product of the era. Cars were not always equipped with white or clear headlights.
