LINE OF DUTY (2012-19)

Jed Mercurio's gripping thriller about AC-12 who investigate police corruption at the highest level.  There have been many great guest stars such as Lennie James, Gina McKee, Keeley Hawes, Daniel Mays, Thandie Newton and Stephen Graham.  The plots are compelling and original, the three leads are outstanding, the action sequences are solid, but there's virtually no humour at all and everything seems a bit too clean-cut for a procedural drama series.  I hope it returns next year.

It's very good, as is Mercurio's Bodyguard.

That was a very fine series. It got a bit heavy handed and far-fetched towards the end but still enjoyable and there was a lot of political intrigue. Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes were very good. There's rumoured to be a 2nd series.

It has put Madden in the frame for Bond, allegedly.
