This all confirms the early casting call that was leaked that included a search for a Russian oligarch as the main villain.



I'd love to read the Boyle/Hodge script. Sounds so much more exciting than NTTD, really.

Shades of Fleming's Moonraker, perhaps with the rocket. The gulag setting would have been great, and Canada too. Wasted on Craig, no doubt.

Why is the gulag in Canada though...

That's what's intriguing about it. Or Canada is doubling for Russia. Doubtful Putin would concede to shooting gulag scenes in modern day Russia.

Trudeau, however, wants to be friends with everyone because he's so nice - just ask him.

From DAD-SP, the self referencing has become a bit of a joke really. Lazy even. Most of us knew this already but it's the first time it's actually been acknowledged from someone on the crew list.

Craig did once say he was happy to have what he called 'the submarine pen aspects' of Bond in his movies, if they could make it work. This sounds along those lines.

Heh did he really? I suppose Brofeld's lair in SP comes somewhat close to that.
