Why is this movie criticized for a drag outfit, yet Thunderball gets a pass for it?

A villain in TB dressed like a woman as a disguise, but for some reason fans just hate it in this one. Is there a difference?

I don't think fans have a problem with a drag outfit, rather they have a problem with Blofeld actually doing that.

DAF got criticised as sexist because as soon as Blofeld dressed as a woman he went to the kitchen and made mud pies.

The DAF one caused widespread sexual confusion, as many blokes who previously regarded themselves as warm-blooded heterosexuals found themselves suddenly uncomfortably attracted to Blofeld.
