Has anybody seen this movie?....It stars Charles dance as Fleming, have to say i wasn't aware of it. I know Jason connery did a similar movie about the life of Fleming. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097446/?ref_=tt_sims_tt

Yeah, got a DVD of it that was a giveaway with a newspaper once. It's quite entertaining.

Looks like it's on YouTube, so I'll have to give it a watch. Charles Dance is always great and, on face value, an inspired choice to play Fleming. Every other actor I've seen play Fleming to date has looked wrong.

There's his henchman part in FYEO, of course. And he turned down the chance to screen-test for Bond himself in the early Eighties on his agent's advice ... he's admitted that he hadn't 'nearly enough experience' back then and would've 'fucked it up' anyway.

'Goldeneye' came a little closer to Fleming's real story than Spymaker did, but still paid too much lip service to the films, as if seeing a man stroking a white cat gave Fleming the idea for Blofeld, for example.
