Why do people think that the new black female 007 is the first one?

So Lashana Lynch is confirmed to be first black female 007 in all these articles now, and online media, but I thought Jinx was the first one, and are we not counting her now?

Well the article is describing her as the new 007 but she's not really. She is Bond's sidekick or ally in the movie. So she is not really 007. But they are calling her that. But why are they making such a big deal out of a new black female MI6 agent, when we already had Jinx as the first black female sidekick agent to Bond?

I mean she is NSA and not MI6, but why are people choosing to forget her, and think that this new character is so original?

The number 1 place to discuss Bond.

At the beginning of No Time to Die, Bond has retired so his number, 007, has been reassigned to another MI6 agent who is promoted to the 00 section. So Lashana Lynch's character, Nomi, IS 007, as James Bond was when he was working for MI6 in that section.
