The Saint

I just started watching "The Saint" series, and wow, does it share a lot with the Bond films.  I'm not sure who inspired who, but it shares so many story beats, actors, and even musical cues.  I'm really enjoying it! You can pretend that it is a separate Bond series, like what he was doing between the movies. Moore doesn't play it exactly like Bond, but more than close enough.  The "Ex-king of diamonds" has a Goldfinger/Casino Royale feel, "Invitation to danger" stars Julian Glover and Shirley Eaton, "The man who gambled with life" has the psychological conditioning of OHMMS and the knockout gas of Thunderball.  Plus, I love Moore, so this is fun.
