The first alert is for US theater-goers, or anyone who plans on coming to New York soon.

Film Forum's running a great line up from August until November. Here's a PDF calendar:
http://www.filmforum.org/pdf/ff2_cal92_FINAL_x.pdf

Some of the films include:

ON DANGEROUS GROUND (Nicholas Ray)
THE PROFESSIONALS (Richard Brooks)
THE FRENCH CONNECTION (William Friedkin)
SERPICO (Sidney Lumet)
THE LAST PICTURE SHOW (Peter Bogdonavich)
CITIZEN KANE (Orson Welles)
TAXI DRIVER (Martin Scorsese)
VERTIGO (Alfred Hitchcock)
CAPE FEAR (J. Lee Thompson)
OBSESSION (Brian De Palma)
THE BRIDE WORE BLACK (Francois Truffaut)

I hope this is the right place for this (apologies if not Brown) but looks like the BFI here in London are having a two month Dirk Bogarde season

http://www.bfi.org.uk/whatson/bfi_southbank/film_programme/august_seasons/he_who_dared_dirk_bogarde

Victim would be worth a look on the big screen. And Servant though I've not seen it.

August 3-30

Looking around, seeing School for Scoundrels and Lavender Hill Mob on the screen would be something else.

Turner Classic Movies presents PSYCHO in US theaters on Sept. 20 & 23:

I've seen it a few times in the theater and highly recommend checking it out. Great big screen experience.

Saw a preview of that before a screening of DOUBLE INDEMNITY. I'm definitely going to check that out. It won't be my first Hitchcock film to see in theaters, but it will be the first with a Bernard Herrmann score which makes it sweeter.
