Rate George Lazenby as James Bond

It's an age-old debate, yet it's one that hasn't really raged yet on these forums.

In your opinion, just how good/bad was George Lazenby as 007?

Some little, minor quarms, but overall, quite excellent. Though, I had to give him a 9 because of a couple of awkwardly delivered lines. That aside, he's an excellent sucessor to The Man.

It's a solid 9. From when I first saw OHMSS as a kid I was impressed by him as Bond, at least I had no qualms. Even now I don't find much issue with him or indeed, can find much wrong. Perhaps shaky in a scene or moment I probably see far too much right in his performance. Looked dangerous, conveyed emotion at the end, had chemistry in his scenes with Bernard Lee and Moneypenny (probably the best Bond/M, Bond/Penny scenes of all the series).
And he was downright decent when I met him, so 9.

I gave him a 9 - as much as I love the Lazenby, theres just the occasional scene where I giggle at some of his lines.

Sloppy in places, but not bad for a first-timer. Projected both the necessary toughness and sotfness.

9 for me ... the odd iffy moment, but considering the guy wasn't strictly even an actor as such when he was signed up, he does remarkably well.

Was deciding between 7 and 8 and decided to give him the full 8. My appreciation for both him and OHMSS has increased in the past 5 years.

I gave him a 5, cos it's been a while since I say OHMSS, so I can really remember, I reckon he'd have grown in to the role, he looked the part anyways!

He wasn't the worst Bond and I think he could have improved had he starred in DAF.

9. He did a hell of a lot better than I ever could, given the same chance.

Gave him a 7 which is very good for a first timer. I think had he continued the role in less dramatic Bond films he might have improved considerably.
