Sounds like the scene in FYEO where Bond dispatches Emile Leopold Locque. First he shoots at him in the oncoming car, then kicks the car off a cliff.

That's the one.

Does using his love-gun count as a weapon or firearm? If so I'd say when he used it on Pussy Galore, because by doing so it helped change her mind, brought her back over to the good guys side, and saved thousands of lives.

Guess he was firing blanks when he used it on Miranda Frost...well either that or Brozza was just a dud in bed.

Maybe he left the safety on.

That's a good one.

Dent getting capped would have to be my favourite, though.

How could we forget Bond shooting the knob off the staircase railing in OCTOPUSSY? It literally saved Bond's manhood which, if he didn't have, he wouldn't have been able to seduce May Day in the next film and keep her busy, or seduce Pola Ivanova and grab the audio tape she made of Zorin. Bond's penis literally helped save Silicon Valley from being swallowed up by an earthquake and tidal wave. Then again, Berkeley did survive, so.......

I rather like the scene with Bond at Palmara(spelling?) TB when he gets Largo's men shooting at one another.

The Dent scene is also tremedously well done, ironically because its so 'matter of fact'

As for the gunbarrels I find it curious that Brosnan and Craig don't make any effort to crouch or present a difficult target (the exact opposite in fact) - its indicative of the physical invicibility which seems to infect latterday Bond, yes it was always a feature but now its so ingrained its doesn't even warrant a consideration any more.

Don't get me wrong. bond causing the guards to shoot at each other is cool but it easily goes to another scene from TB.

The hands down best scene is when Connery is shooting skeet with Largo. Every single time my mind giggles with anticipation of the semi-dumb look on Largo's face.

One from each movie:

-Killing Professor Dent with the silenced PPK
-Shooting Krilencu's gypsy camp thugs with the PPK
-Killing one of Goldfinger's thugs with the PPK while hiding behind the Aston Martin door
-Shooting two of Largo's thugs at Palmyra
-Eliminating the Kobe Docks thugs
-Shooting that SPECTRE thug inside Piz Gloria who came up the stairs about to attack Tracy and Draco
-Killing Blofeld's double with the piton pistol
-Killing Dambala with the revolver
-Murdering Stromberg with four shots from the PPK
-Eliminating the Tree Sniper with the hunting rifle
-Killing that machine gunner thug hiding behind some barrels in Locque's warehouse
-Shooting General Orlov's Russian soldiers with the Walther P9 as Orlov makes a run for cover
-Taking down Zorin's goons at Stacey's house with the rock salt-loaded shotgun
-Shooting out the spotlight with the PPK at General Pushkin's African conference
-Disabling Dario's jeep with the Berretta
-Eliminating General Ourumov on Trevelyan's train with the AK-47
-Killing Carver's stealth boat technicians with the machine gun just before Carver knocks him down
-Shooting Elektra King at point blank range
-Killing Colonel Moon's hovercraft driver with the Uzi
-Shooting Mollaka at point blank range
-Killing Carlos inside his Jeep

Does putting a hull-penetrating valve through two Stromberg flunkies with a bolt gun count?

How about popping the guards on the way up to the control room in YOLT? Something about the blocking of that always gets me confused with Charlton Heston shooting one of the gorillas on the way up to the dig in Planet of the Apes.

No one's mentioned Bond getting the drop on Scaramanga yet.

Bond shoots the barrels of toxic gas loose in the GE PTS.

Molloka, definitely.

So many to choose from...so many iconic ones like FYEO, OHMSS and DN...but it might just be the killing of Vargas. The speargun is so secondary so ignored and almost a nonentity, that it is the man doing the threatening and not the weapon.

Very well done list!! I've bolded my selection. :)

Honorable mention to DN and CR. The Mollaka take-down was very well done!

Adding Hornet's "Bond getting the drop on Scaramanga" adds TMWTGG and completes the movie list.
