| I know there are lots of threads with "best of" and "worst of" lists, etc...but these polls that I'm going to be posting are not just generic, run-of-the-mill polls, but ask you to really, really assess the talent of the people in the categories listed. These posts, like the Oscars or The Razzies, are meant to get an idea of who is the most and least talented, not who you like the most. For example, I love Famke Janssen's performance in Goldeneye. It was fun and exciting, but speaking purely on the merits of talent I cannot say that it was a flawless performance. So please vote for the specific performance/talent involved, or lack thereof, and not simply who you just happen to like or personally dislike.
These polls will not be broken down and based upon type of role (i.e Bond Girl, villain, henchman, etc...) but strictly on talent
Polls close in 45 days. Ceremony announcing the winners and losers to take place in the Commander's Dining Room of the Denny's of your choice. |

| I love the bottom for options, but I had to go for Klebb. She's very underrated - she's one of my favourite villains! Then again, Volpe is one of my favourite villainesses/Bond girls.... |

| I really want to vote for Luccianna Paluzzi because she is one of my favorites, but in all fairness, I have to give the vote to Lotte Lenya because she was really a good actress and make Klebb so damn creepy |

| Lotte. Fond memories of her in Berlin in 1928.

| Ilsa Steppat should have been an option. |

Absolutely agreed. For me, there are really only two choices to pick from in this poll, so I'll go with Lotte Lenya narrowly over Luccianna Paluzzi. |

| Steppat's not so much underrated as terribly overlooked. I think she tends to get lost in all of OHMSS' majesty. |

I'd say that she's one of the best secondary villains in the franchise, maybe just a small step behind Grant in the grand scheme of things. I'd even argue that she's probably the best part of OHMSS. |

Wasn't she dubbed in the film? |

| How can you put Barbara Carrera up against Rosamund Pike?
One was let out of the stable with no halter or traces and allowed to tear up the turf, while the other was so icily reserved, I'm surprised Bond didn't check her pulse before laying lip to her.
That said, I have to choose between them.
Hmmm...saw Carrera in Playboy, so I know what she's about.
On the other hand, Pike has those eyes...
The bigger soft, round orbs win. Carrera it is.
No sex for dinner for me...

I like the cold and aloof Bond Girls, what with Holly Goodhead and Gala Brand Miranda Frost being two of my favorites. Remember, these polls are not the People's Choice awards. They are supposed to measure actual talent and achievement. The role of Frost was written to be an icy, reserved, aloof bitch. Pike played her to perfection. If this were the People's Choice Awards the categories would look different. And I am going to do a People's Choice set of polls soon, where they are a bit more fun and free and not as conscious about craft and talent, but I wanted to get the Oscar-type categories out of the way first. |
