| Ambler did make a parting speech. Disappointed with the lack of participation on the site was the gist of it and then he left, advising he might check back at a later date. The post is still floating around in one of the threads I imagine, under "guest" author. |

| Ambler was ticked that people weren't flooding his topics with responses. The poor bloke felt a mite underappreciated. |

Just felt like leaving, I think, due to low forum activity. He might be busy off the forum, as well. |

We've since canonized him and ascribed him legend status, so he should be able to find his way back, if he can handle the adoration, that is. ;) |

| I'm willing to offer him an honorary doctorate, to compliment his knighthood, if he decides to return. |

| I've heard he's even less demanding than that, Rave. A wank and a Flake bar and all's right with the world. |

| Just don't get the wank and the flake mixed up. That way lies disaster.

I'll chip in towards a statue, monument, a national holiday in his honour, and a star on the walk of fame. |

"Droit du seigneur is a term now popularly used to describe an alleged legal right allowing the lord of an estate to take the virginity of his serfs' maiden ..."How very progressive. Lord Ambler would approve. |

Not yet - have you seen the size of this island? Besides I've been trying to study ... and failing the attempt is appreciated. |

| keep studying Fae! btw, I finally got a hold of TB S3 discs. I'm 4 eps in. It's looking good. Like all the wolves. Layfayette and Jason are as funny as ever. But with Sarah Sunshine gone, my new favourite TB femme is Pam. She's quite entertaining.
Update: 9 episode in. TB has degenerated into one sick depraved show. Season 3 is way too much. The storyline is still interesting enough to keep propellling the season along but man talk about over the top with the blood, gore and depravity. Yecch.
This discussion should probably be in the TV section, but I stumbled across Fae here. Sorry  |

| Wow! 101 members now. Great work, guys and gals.
I see there have been some additional features to the site and some that have come and gone. I'm looking forward to catching up on the all the threads. Hope everyone has been well.
I'm on a sabbatical from working - since mid-June. If those of you working for over 20 years have not already taken a sabbatical, I highly recommend it. It's different from a vacation or a week cleaning the house... It's life changing. Not sure what I'll go back to or when but it feels good to be making decisions with a rested mind and feeling like I'm going toward something instead of running from something.
Anyway... I've discovered a few new drinks and a few shortcuts to some standards, which I'll share with you over the weekend.
Cheers! |
