Pinewood studio exec claims BOND 23 "has started filming"

Very strange they're keeping this on a closed lid when Sam Mendes is actually shooting, not just secondary work unless he's just there to oversee things. Just confirms my suspicions that EON wants to announce everything in a single press conference instead of several announcements.

Could be they are doing pre-filming ... if they dare use a reliable old technique like front or back projection (still valid, Fincher uses the latter), they have to shoot plates of the backgrounds well in advance of the rest of shooting.

Either that or some kind of motion capture session, to give the VFX people lead time on making it work (not that this succeeded very well on QoS and its skydiving Gollum sequence.)

They're doing 2 weeks of rehearsals prior to shooting, so maybe that's what this is.

I don't think I'd like these people. But as long as B23 is good, I don't have to.
