| Ah yes, Cate Blanchett. While I was going to nominate her, I've only seen in her in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She was exceptional in that though. |

| what I've seen her in I like. The Elizabeth films, even Indiana Jones IV and I'm sure I've seen her in something else. She's versatile. Certainly if she's playing Elizabeth I then a Russian agent in an Indy Jones film. |

My question is - how do you feel about her in Pirates? And have you seen her in Bend It Like Beckham? |

I remember giggling at her at the of the second one. I like seeing her on screen - I just think she shines in the films mentioned above. And in Pride and Prejudice and Silk (despite its mediocrity in other departments). |

| Laetitia Casta. I like models-turned-"actresses" because that means they're more likely to show their tits in the films that they appear in. Acting-wise, I think she's above-average compared to today's standards. But, I don't think that's saying much. |

Julianne wins for not shaving her pubes. God, I hate that. Mind you, it was a comment like that that got me drummed out of another forum. Moving on ... I think Jennifer Jason Leigh is very underrated. She made a series of extraordinarily brave films in the 1980s. Last Exit To Brooklyn was one of her less artistically successful, but there's nothing wrong with her performance. (I can't work out how to embed from Daily Motion so you'll just have to follow the link.) |

| Bugger, Jennifer Jason Leigh has been overtaken by events. Just like in real life, then.
Anyway, here's the Tralala clip at last, a fantastic portrayal of love and loneliness even if the film isn't much cop as a whole.

| My dad slept with Faye Dunaway in 1986 after watching her perform Circe and Bravo in the Hampstead Theatre, directed by Harold Pinter. He told me she 'really knobbly knees.'
He also did the lovely Jacqueline du Pré in 69, after dancing with her in a party in a mock Roman villa in Primrose Village , attended by Anthony Hopkins, who was pissed out of brain. |

| In terms of old-fashioned glamor, it's hard to put anyone ahead of Cardinale.
