Ambler should do it. If they think that we are elitists and that they are so open and it's a fresh start, then Ambler should be welcome with open arms. Non?

That was his nickname on the old site but I suppose the admins hadn't spend much time there to see that. AND my post was congratulating him on his effort and commitment. yeeesh.
I thought the post was made in mockery of his ridiculously transparent and opportunistic "sucking up" act of the last week, hence my post afterwards, the humour of which, especially in the current climate, probably flew over their heads. Either that or they're too thick to have noticed any of Sam's posts this week.
A "warning" for that, Kitts? Give me a break. And that "someone" who complained? Well, I'd hazard a guess that it's someone trying to "punish" you for being a member here rather than for your comment over there, or maybe even the member himself trying to trash a more popular member and score a few more Mod brownie points on his way up the company ladder. It's a f***ing joke. The words "cage" and "rattled" come immediately to mind. That said, i'll probably log back in myself in a minute and find a warning in my "inbox" or whatever the hell the equivalent of an inbox is there now.
They've been f***ing with me as well today, but I've kept my mouth shut about it (well, until now, anyway); "MyNameIs" sent me a message today, I click on that message and it's been deleted. Way to go if they want the members back posting there as they used to.

Well, it was a mockery of the quality of his posts for sure... but it does take a commitment to make it to 209 posts in less than a week. (My post above was a bit of sarcasm.) But this time he's not asking questions everywhere - remember how he used to ask the most ridiculous questions? Now he's being "helpful".
I was told that passing judgement on his posts as spam is not my responsibility. Is it wrong that I find this hilarious?

Don't knock Samuel. I like the guy.
Anyway, Balje made a hilarious thread that got deleted immediately. I screencapped it: https://2img.net/h/i825.photobucket.com/albums/zz179/fff99/MB.jpg He must be taking it badly.

Damn, that Balje thread had me in hysterics.
And Louis, you're an absolute GOD for screencapping that before it got took down. Well done, man. 8)
Seriously though, what kind of complete sense-of-humour-bypass person could take down such a thread? Not only is it a perfectly understandable and relevant question, but it's also downright comedy gold as well. All the misery and complaints over there this week, then something like that turns up and they take it DOWN? Unbelievable.
Kitty's right. That post HAS to become an avatar.
And yep, Balje has to be brought over here somehow. Even if it means f***ing kidnapping him or something. After that thread, it's become abundantly clear that we won't be playing with a full deck until he turns up.

Loved Benny's crybaby rant about how we're all elitists. The mods and admins are acting like we were all obligated to give that site a chance. Like we owed them something.
Fuck 'em all. I don't know why any of you would continue to attempt to reason with those people. It's just a waste of your time.
Regarding Balje, I always had the idea that he was some sort of ultimate troll. Kitts's screenshot may help to prove that theory.

It's important to remember that Balje signed up in 2002, before any of us. It's no surprise he's mad as hell.
By the way, does anyone have a link to Benny's "anti-elitism" rant?

I wouldn't call them rants really, they're just long posts, but in both of the posts, we're referred to as "elitist". The "members are being vetted first" comment made me laugh, like we're building a group of genetic supermen or something.

I'm sure we'd all like the former forums archives to be fixed. Whether this can be done is something I guess we'll have to wait and see. I can also appreciate the turmoil that these changes have created, and the sense of loss that comes with it. We all had many posts and threads we'd created that were lost along the way. Behind the avatars The appreciation thread and The rare and unseen Bond images were just some of the ones that I started, and have lost. I'm still upset by that, but I can also move on. Which I'm sure we're all trying to do. What I've found is that those who have left, have done so without trying to give this new forum a chance. There is obviously a safe haven that these members have regrouped at (judging by some of the posts), that not everyone is aware of, or have been asked to join. An elitist group if you will. That's fine. I have no desire to join multiple forums, but after so many years can we really ignore all those friendships so easily? The loss of posts and memories is hard to come to terms with, and like many I to am upset by this, but the rift this has caused and the seeming loss of many longtime friends is harder still. I really do hope that these issues can be resolved, and that within time these wrongs, right themselves. I don't think anyone is saying this place is better or going to be better than the old forum. But what's happened has happened, and as much as we'd like to get the old forum back, it isn't going to happen. I look forward to hearing from those who have decided to take a leave of absence in the future. You know where you can find me, if you ever want to talk. ;) Lucky they brought along my favourite smiley

No I wasn't referring to CommanderBond, JaguarOO7. I was referring to the site that some of our friends here have moved onto. Nothing wrong with that, and I'm happy that they're content to do so. The reason I referred to it as an elitist club @Tux, is that so far it seems there is a list of who to tell, and who not to. Like the members are being vetted first. Again nothing wrong with that, and you know that this site will welcome any and all with open arms. You know if we're trying to clear the air. It works both ways. I hope all can be resolved, and mean no malice or upset toward anyone

I used the funny Balje thread page as my avatar on MI6, and it's just been removed. I've also had my "Teenagers with mobile phones" and "Twitbook" previous avatars taken off my activity page. FFS, I meant all three of those avatars humorously.
Heck, even one of the mods jokingly acknowledged the unsubtle humour of the "Twitbook" one on my comments page.
 So much for Comic Relief.

The new format kills me. I feel like it just basically is yelling to me to be a troll and spam it with silly, immature comments. Which I do.
I wonder if I will get banned for saying "Daniel Craig's films have some good fisting action. " in the Craig fisticuffs thread. Yes. I am a child.

I can very easily identify with that, Moore. The new layout gives me absolutely no motivation to post an epic rant or review due to just how long each page scrolls down for. It just strikes me that every post doesn't really stand out from the last, instead just blurring into an overall big wall of streaming text. I don't feel the urge to create or contribute the way I sometimes did with the previous format, instead now being faced with something akin to typing a novel with a typewriter but having to use a length of toilet roll to type onto instead of a nice big sheet of generously-proportioned paper. It feels like I'm typing text messages to people rather than writing letters, and the thinner page format seems to encourage this, which is a real shame. I'm hoping to get past these obstacles and try to understand the enthusiasm of others for this format, but right now I'm just not comfortable with it. I'd equate my current position to being on a desert island in very good company, but still missing some of my old mates and thus sending them a postcard now and again as I don't want to lose those mates.
Moore wrote:

I'd be stunned to hell if they even acted on that comment, let alone banned you for it. But things don't seem the same right now humour-wise over there, so I dunno. :|
Moore just wandered into a random thread at MI6 and wrote:
This thread smells like elitists!!!!!!
Having "vetted" a site full of "SPecial Executives", endured a week of "Counter intelligence", suffered the act of "Terrorism" in having our former home site nuked, Moore now exacts "Revenge" for us being called elitists. Now all we need to do is grab Balje and Extort a ransom of a hundred million dollars from them to buy him back. ;)

I only ever got two warnings, one for calling Retro's pal Nick a little bastard after he told me to stop harrassing Oppers, so I'm rather jealous of Brown making double figures. I figure that's MI6's equivalent of getting the Medal of Honor or Victoria Cross.
Re the mammaries thread, I can't be bothered to do it again, even here; it was a lot of work cutting and pasting the Bond girls from Wiki. ;) Mind you, at least we could have pictures of the girls here.
MI6 Classic didn't just ban me, they blocked my ISP so I don't think I will be welcome in the Brave New World. (Mind you, the block was after I had re-registered as November. I think he lasted 12 posts.)
