Yep. I think it was more just a compendium of the slow drip feeds of info we'd been getting for the previous few days from the other mods, all rolled into the house analogy, which IIRC Darth Dimi or somebody had already brought up. I think St George noticed this too. But, as far as available info goes, I guess Dublo's post has now become the go-to post as far as finding out even remotely what's gone on over there goes, due to it's compendium nature. I'll stress here now also that I've no beef whatsoever with Dublo, he's been a great supportive guy to me over there, as has St George. Benny and Luds too. In fact, I haven't an individual beef with any mod over there. I made a debatably unfair generalisation of the mod team during the week in light of us being given virtually exactly the same "look on the bright side, I don't have any info" response from each of them with regards to the new site, thus I jumped to a conclusion which I thought definitely had some validity, especially as it now seems to be the case that people may have had information that we weren't deemed inportant enough to have access to. That's my only complaint as far as the mods over there go, and I hope that maybe they can look back over those posts and perhaps understand why I came to that conclusion. |

Weren't you Skarbek, or was that someone else? Clever username though. Yeah, that was me as well. That was when Dublo told me to reread the T&C after I had made just one post. I think I said something about EON being crap. Can't remember now. I was also Roy Ward Baker-Street for one night only. Bit obvious that one ...

Holy s***, I can't help hearing that in a Bond villain voice. ;) Next up: "Observe, Mr Moore, the instruments of armaggeddon", followed by a banning for writing "elitists" all over the site. ;) |

I'm good friends with Nick off the forums and we've not discussed any of this. I wouldn't laugh at him but I will be honest with him when we do discuss it.
This is rather funny though...
Split my sides laughing thread <---- Yea, that's a link.
People must be scared to post. No laughing allowed. For the record Kitts, I was always told "This is a first strike/warning. You have so and so strikes left" when I got warned. It didn't happen nearly as often as I expected |

You could probably convince him to give you his credit card information. |

| I like yours. Mine is King George III. Got to get the whole elitest thing across.
Not to mention that I will now be speaking in a kingly fashion....here, for example. Let me translate this for you.
"I enjoy thou avatar as much as I doth liketh mine. If thou were were to know, I would tell thy that I must confirm with urgency that elitism runs through the cells of my humanly core."
It is just fun fucking with them now.

You could probably convince him to give you his credit card information. I know you don't like MI6 Brown, but that's kind of rude! :affraid: Hard to believe the admins and mods didn't see the old board's shutdown coming. No-one knew when it was going to happen, sure - but the fact it was going to happen was known. How else would MI6Community have been set-up and 00s pre-registered? Luds and Disco Volante both made it clear that they only came back to MI6 to help supervise this transition (if you can even call it that - and what hilarious attempts at supervision). I have nothing at all against Benny or Dimi, except for the fact they're treating everyone like children. eg. That's just the way the cookie crumbles folks. So if your glass of milk spills, stop crying...and sweep up the crumbs. Dump them into the milk all over the floor, then lick it up. Nevermind all the old discussion is gone, no-one ever read it anyway. Well I certainly didn't. This is so exciting - lucky they brought along my favourite smiley.... 8) |

| I remember one of the last things happening on MI6 was Luds giving Tux (and I assume others) a PM that "it's about to happen in 30 minutes" and then Tux made a thread on the hidden 00-section believing it was the update. Nobody had any idea what was in store, but I remember thinking it must have been pretty big.
It was.
A big disappointment. |

Feelings are hurt, I reckon - I think that inevitable but we have to live with the choices we've all made and just move forward, like in a rowing race - you don't focus on the stroke you just fucked up, you concentrate on making the rest of race golden - which takes work. But that is just in my idea on what is happening. |

Please feel free to join the campaign to bring John Terry back as Felix Leiter. I just joined it. Bloody hell mate, could you have made the insults any more thinly-veiled over there? That stuff about the colour blue, Terry being "the elite choice", the rude treatment, etc.... couldn't help laughing. F*cking hell, every time you go in there now, it's like someone's sent CHUCK NORRIS in there. Changed my avatar to Drax. ;) |

I see your point. Hey Ambler, I'm not big on forum numbers, but MI6 reported their post count as 3500 yesterday since Monday, while the count here ain't too far behind that. Is that a case of good numbers for us, bad numbers for them, or is it just good (or bad) numbers for both? Any idea what kind of numbers are normally expected at places like MI6? Because it seems borderline incredible that a site like that with wide public exposure ain't that far ahead of the two-bob invisible thing set up here..... |

| That's right. Very good numbers for us, and very bad numbers for them
3000 of their posts are complaints, 400 is Spamuel saying 'lets look to the future', and the other 100 are the mods and admins justifying their appalling mishandling of data :) |

But that is just in my idea on what is happening. Fae, it's clear to me now that feelings are hurt. I suppose there was no way around that. I know that mods who are friends are hurt and feel the members here are definitely being elitist. We are. Why wouldn't we want like-minded people to be here in the beginning to build the forum? Inviting everyone at one time would not have been smart. It's enough that we vent here. We didn't need explanations here and debates here. It will die down faster naturally this way. I'm glad I was invited in the beginning and, sure, I might have felt a little left out too but a) I wasn't condescending to all of you and b) I'd have just happily waited on the sidelines to get my invite. I will say though, and this is for Fae, me and anyone else in contact with people who have not been invited yet.... be honest. I've had a candid conversation with two friends who are mods over there. One is not hurt and is glad that things are straight between us as friends off any forum. One is particularly hurt. But in that case, if that person is to ever come here they needed to know that their behavior as a mod was interfering with the online play - and that's not what we want here. |

Even if that includes pretending I'm King George III. |
